Say something nice for a change

Ok sure the game has issues that need fixing, but for heaven's sake just stop.

I am having a lot of fun with this game. Is it perfect? Hell no, but I don't live on the planet Mars and expect perfection.

There are a great many of you that act like you never played a video game before in your lives and act as if Trion is the first company to release a game that has bugs. Shall I list for you the number of franchise titles (games with a long line of similar games that came before) that have had similar or even worse bugs?

Ok, the game has been out what, a month and a half?

Wah wah wah, I want my DLC now. For crying out loud, considering that DLC is not something that is usually released right away and considering that other companies caught hell for releasing Day One DLC (Mass Effect 3), Trion can't win here. You'll get your DLC and if you're patient, you'll get it when it's ready. Some of the issues with releasing DLC have to do with both Sony's and Microsoft's own requirements and quality assurance needs. It also isn't easy to make sure it will work on 3 platforms (one with a lot of different components as in PCs). And, no doubt if it is released and has bugs people will be here complaining that they didn't take long enough to work on it and make it good.

The game's repetitive. Well, what the frick did you expect from a shooter? Again, have you ever played FPS MP before in your life? Exactly how different is getting 8th Prestige from getting 7th or say, 4th? Gee, that's not repetitive at all. Oh right, you have a gold gun this time around, that is different.

The hellbug variations are just re-skinned hellbugs. Uh, have you played the game? No they're not. If you don't know this, you have not played the game.

Trion didn't answer my question as soon as I asked it. Ok, again have you played any other game? Trion has at least set up ways in game for players to report bugs and get support. I have never seen this done by any other company and most game companies, in fact even most companies out there rely on fan to fan support even on their website. I've contacted Trion about problems I've had and they do respond. This shouldn't be amazing but in this day and age it really is-they personally responded to my issues. Check out the support you get with your golden gun.

The game has bugs that no monkey should have let slip through QA. Ok, maybe. Name me one game, even a huge one by a company that has some track record of making similar games, that has not had bugs. Any Bethesda game, always bugged and the bugs are almost always the exact same problems over and over again. CoD games, always bugged, hacked, glitched, exploited, and the exact same problems recur over and over again-except this time Black Ops 2 was way worse. And at this point in time they should be able to do better than that-it's not like they haven't been making CoD games for like forever.

This is a new kind of game for consoles and like it or not, there will be bugs. And no one is probably more frustrated with them than the devs. But, and this is a big but, I feel like I've already gotten more of my money's worth out of playing this than almost any other game of late. Not 5 hours of campaign missions followed by MP that is repetitive Prestige leveling up. Days and days and days worth of play, and playing with people I meet, trying the different weapons, different perk combinations or just driving around.

And to the last point I think some of you really need to stop and take a look around. I am constantly amazed at the level of detail put into this game in the scenery at the very least. Yesterday, I decided to ride around the coastal areas and came to a little dock. The view was fantastic. In the game the sun was going down, complete with a really cool sunset on the water. That's also part of what the game is all about, enjoying the different things in it. Not just chasing after more stuff-fun in and of itself.

    me smells trolls

I agree. For all of Defiance's failings - and there are quite a few - it does do it right with a lot of stuff. The detail in the environment is really very good. Great grass and water effects.

I do find it funny that all these hellbugs were mutated by this constant rain, yet I haven't seen it rain in the game. Things that make you go, hmmmmmmmmm.

You damn kid's you are the reason we can't have "nice things"
    Especially in a forum!

But seriously, Love the game, flaws and all. Trion got some major things right (Combat/Gunplay, Weapon Design, Loot, Leveling) and hopefully they can fix the issues and make this the kick *** game that it should be.

    - Customer support is top notch (one of the best.)
    - The TV show is quite enjoyable.
    - Easily got my money's worth out of what content there is.
    - Uninstalling the game was surprisingly easy (I was honestly expecting that feature to be broken and terraform my computer.)

I liked your whole post, but especially that part. Couldn't have said it better myself.
