IDK why they aren't.

With virtualization software they could easily add an instance that runs it.same way windows 7 had a windows xp compatability mode or how my mac has VMware fusion that runs a virtual windows 7 PC at teh same time. they could have added in a virtual xbox 360 making every game backwards compatable IMO. Just like now on PC you can get game system emulators goign all the wya back to nintendo and such.

I'm not all that impressed with the XBox One from what they showed. Seems more like an expensive coffee warmer than a gaming console. I hope I am wrong because I love my Xbox.

They do this on purpose, they make a lot more money when they force you to buy new games.. However, some people won't even buy the new systems because of it, so it goes both ways.. Can't please everyone, EVER.
