The Xbox One can play digitally downloaded games from the marketplace, but can not play discs for one it will be Blu-Ray, and another it has a completely different architecture is what they told IGN... but ya defiance will be on them too, hopefully discounted or with all dlc or some big reason to get it... also should be fully graphic enhanced and if it has new better graphics enhancements that even build upon look on PC, then i would rebuy... but at least look as good as PC version...

Same here. I never made the jump to the 360 until 2 years after it's release. By then, price drops occurred including bundle packages making the price much more worth while.

I find that architecture line to be a load of bull ****. That's what being said but we all know all that is a load of bull **** because it simply can be emulated through the system. The snes is a completely different architecture from a smart and yet snes games on emulated on there by some would be programmer so you're gonna tell me with 8 cores and 8 gbs of ram that the next gen console can't emulate an old system from 2004? BS all together. They just don't want to do it because they will make more money from selling both systems and bundle packs of the same game. Here go you sir, a gears of war bundle that you already got for 65 dollars, have a good day.

While the lack of backwards compatibility is saddening I'll get over it eventually. What concerned me most about the press conference is that is was about an hour long and most of that was talking about TV. I am a GAMER I don't watch TV! The 360 was a gaming console and it is starting to sound like gaming is the last thing this XboxOne was designed to do. I don't even have my home set up to get the basic free local area channels. Will the XboxOne even work without a connection to a cable box?

I got bored of watching the feed. Now I gotta wait till E3 to see how the thing plays games. Not to bothered about the backwards compatibility... but it does depend on how much I fall in love with Dark Souls II!

They have only revamped the xbox live for the new console. No word on dropping services to the 360 and even than, look how long the original xbox live on the original xbox lasted after the 360 came out before they shut it down. Xbox live on the 360 has many more fruitful years to come.
