It may not be backwards compatible yet, but neither was the 360 when it first came out. Backwards compatibility only came after
a patch was released later on. Which I'm sure they will do with the Xbox one.

Heres the big question..
If the Xbox One does /not/ play Xbox 360 games.. What happens to the Xbox 360 servers in the next 2 to 3 years? Heck, what if the Xbox One sells so well that Microsoft decides to just cut Xbox 360 out of the picture, no more Xbox live for 360 users? No more defiance? If this is the case, I hope Trion releses an offline patch or something like that - I won't blame trion for 360 servers going down.. Awful timing though.
Or am I just jumping to conclusions and the Xbox One will share the servers with Xbox 360.
ps. I read this in Tyrion Lannister's voice
It was answered and the answer was that it is not an "always on" connection but it must connect to the internet at least once every 24 hours or you are carrying around a brick.
- Xbox MUST be connected to the internet to play a new game.
- Xbox must connect to the internet at least ONCE EVERY 24 HOURS.
- No more letting your friends borrow your games, they will have to pay a license fee (full MSRP of the game)
- Must pay a license fee (full MSRP of the game) to play a used game.
Sales will be considerably lower than they expect with all the stupid things they're doing with it.
We still have E3 as far as game showcases go.
I'm curious as to what happens to your digitally downloaded games, arcade and indie games, and the games you downloaded that are no longer available on the marketplace.

Backwards Shackwards,
I'm happy my two xbox360's made it to the finish line so that I can put them on the shelf in working condition. Horray for the wall of consoles I display in all its gaming glory.

And don't let me get started on my game library, I'm still hunting garage sales, and swap meets for titles I'm missing.
