Honestly i don't understand how anyone can say the xbox has turned them off. 1st off gaming wise nothing was really touched upon as they said that will be covered in E3. PS4 hasn't shown anything except its specs and even then their "better specs" underperformed on the PS3 compared to the 360. Sony still has crap online service with more lag. there just adding in party chat system which MS has had for over 10 years since the original xbox, swappable hard drives are meaningless. You can just plug in an external for extra storage. Personally since i have a large friends list on xbox the only way i'd switch is if sony did something revolutionary. faster and better graphics sin't worth a switch IMO and they don't have any must have games IMO. uncharted and GoW are not even good let along amazing exclusives. Honestly i don't think xbox has any amazing exclusives either. Gears is overrated and halo is a fun MP game but thats about it.

I was impressed with the tech of the xbox and the ability to basically be a gaming PC with windows , voice commands, motion controlls etc. replacing 10 remotes with voice command is amazing IMO

run a blind side by side of the two current consoles (I do this often in my shop) many fans get upset when they end up picking the ps3, only way to really see the truth will be to vet the new ones side by side as well.

the ps3 only outperforms where the cell processor is concerned, but in every other regard the next gen is magnitudes better. xb1 is barely on par though with the capabilities of ps3, and left behind by what ps4 will bring. There is also a really good chance, even though one that will cost us $$, that they make the previous library available.. while not exactly "reverse compatible" this instantly brings the next gen's total library over 9k.

the talk on how the processors will work... as neat as being able to do 5 different things at once is.. nobody, or shall I say, very few people would welcome such chaos on their tv. I have no interest in playing an epic rpg while watching a basketball game listening to Ravi Shankar while some 9yo screams through a headset..... all on one system yay!!.. no.. I would much rather play a game, at the highest possible fps, resolution, with smooth play and control, knowing that I will get the very best out of it, than a system that will either always be wasting processes on something else or saving them for that something that isn't happening. I understand listening to your own desired music, especially with a game that is old so the title's tunes don't quite get you in the mood, but that takes little to no power, and can be done several other ways without the game system even being part of it.

be a "gaming pc"... done.. with my original ps3 I have linux 5.4, and play several pc games on it, I even used to play WoW pre 3.0 on it......

fact is.. the line will be continuing to blur between console and pc until it is completely removed, I say the system to accomplish this feat completely will be the victor, as the customer and library will encompass all. BUT.. with that xb1 you will not be able to swap out any old hdd.. it will have to be a specially designed hdd and enclosure just like it was on the 360, and as such.. will be limited, while on the sony systems you will once again, be able to swap out any 2.5" you want, blazing fast ssd? DONE!, running the new 2tb ssd in my ps3 slim atm, on top of being able to use a library of external storage, AND other devices...

point is.. microsoft's console is a day late and a dollar short to the "one machine to do it all" game, sony had already gone there with the ps3. The fact that most of the customers didn't use all of the extra features included into the system was reason it lost reverse compatability, card reading, extra usb slots, alternate OS installs and so on. But we shall see if the consumers of today are ready, or, if down the road the systems drops some stuff to streamline the hardware a bit (I Hope not) In terms of actual capability.. ps4>xb1. Again.. the fight is now up to the publishers and consumers, as their relationship pushes people one way or the other.. mob mentality....

    Xbox all the way.
After Sony got hacked and were down for 3-6 months and the CEO or whomever said " it's not in their best interest to update their security. " and a potential law suit to sue them to cancel my debit card and the piss poor customer service. Sony sucks as much as Bank of America.

You do realise xbox has been hacked a bunch of times itself. So sony are not the only company who were hacked. Also talking about customer service, Microsoft probably have the worst one I have ever seen. Also from what I remember PSN was not down for 3-6months. Therefore the majority of what you just said is stupid.

Microsoft made a system that does everything!!! Except ONE thing Games!!!!

Oh yeah screaming at your tv to do something sounds soooo fun. The only thing that sounded interesting was kinect telling you emotional states of gamers, I would love to have my system tell me who was stressed or angry in pvp. It would give me that much more satisfaction.

Sony removed all those features because the Ps3 was a money pit for them. That "its the consumer's choice" stuff they tried to push was garbage...

Much like the "no one wants rumble" line about the original sixaxis controllers. Those decisions were purely based on costs.

    Console Wars make me lol...

One of the main issues I'm having with the X1 is how much it seems to be punishing multi-console home. With Kinect being a requirement, how am I supposed to have two X1's running? Each Kinect would freak out everytime some one did something. You have to essentially buy 2 copies of everything with this fee thing, yet again punishing households with more than one console. MS also seems to have cancelled the XBL family plan, again punishing multi-console households. Those are the issues I'm having with the X1

I'm sorry, but I see no reason to have multiple xbox's, of any generation, unless you planned ahead and just bought spares to replace when the one you play burns out every 4 months...
