Inviting Friends

I am trying to join my friend but his name is grayed out and I can't invite. Did anyone find a way around this?

you invite through the quick menu, in game

Please attempt to use the forums search function. Press right on the d-pad and select friends from the quick menu and inv whoever you want to join your group. You can inv up to three ppl to your group with you as the leader making a four man group. Have your friends who have joined your group open up the quick menu by pressing right on the d-pad > select group > have them select you since you are the leader > join leader. once they load into your world they will appear as green dots on your map.

Well I tried the quick menu but it just brings up my friends list via xbox guide and still does not give me the option to invite others. I wouldn't be asking if the solution was already on here.

you cant use xbox guide you have to be looking at your character

Well with that it shows that all my friends have never been online and still presents no option to invite.

I got same problem as most ppl I try invinting friends via Xbox dash and via social wheel but always suggests friends have never been online but accounts have been linked and all setup and were both online right now any help
