If the major issue is arkfalls, not sure why they don't just block them within a certain range of the crystals, just say the crystal kills the engine, and kicks them out, really not that far fetched either.

It's easier to make all the vehicles die faster.
I'm guessing if the crystal were to do that to vehicles........then it would do it to everyone outside of the vehicles as well.

If people drive cars at arkfalls because they're lazy and want kills for a pursuit, wouldn't the easiest way of making them not drive cars be to just not let car kills count toward the pursuit? Making you randomly explode doesn't stop people from mowing over skitterlings at arkfalls, it just makes the rest of the game less fun.

This will make some of the vehicle pursuit requirements a little tougher.

Like what? The only one that requires ramming things, AFAIK, is the cerberus and that can be accomplished by running Explosions 101 multiple times.

Let me explain a fact of life that some of you don't seem to understand. When you do something that pisses off the majority, and you keep it up over and over again despite complaints and requests to stop, eventually the majority will get it stopped one way or another. The world is filled with examples.

Problem is, the way it gets fixed rarely pleases either side. No one really wanted to see a shotgun/infector/detonator nerf in PvE, but we're going to get it. No one wanted to see a general vehicle nerf, yet we're getting it.

The answer is to police ourselves. If you're doing something that's pissing the majority off then stop it for a while, scale it back and maybe it will fly under the radar. Or, just keep it up and then whine about the inevitable nerf.

I hate the Pursuits for the Cerberus and the fact that its weaker than the Challenger. why do i have to run over people for the Pursuit just for the fact that the vehicle will explode if i do?

    but the Cerberus has weapons

Easier for who? Trion is going to take the way that's easiest for them. Changing the values in vehicle stats is fast and easy and it's not likely to cause other bugs. Putting debris at every arkfall, making vehicles disappear in the arkfall zone, or killing collision detection, these all require coding, testing and bug fixing.

If you stack hell on wheels with multiple passengers, and give time for the shield to recharge you can still ram things - you just can't do it recklessly. Thats the bigger problem - people just ram things all day with little to no penalty.
