So this means my boosts are gone?

So let me get this straight, yesterday when I got back from work at around noon (live in belgium), I start the game and log into my account and I thought, why not buy a boost? Since I have been playing from the release, have done many pursuits and after + 80 hours am still at +- 1500 EGO. So I buy a SELF and REPUTATION boost and about 2 or 3 hours later I get this message on screen "bla bla bla server downtime". I think about half hour later I get disconnected.

No problem, I'll be back in hour or so. Nope, the server is still not working. A few hours after that, nope not working at all. So I get up this morning (day off) and surprise! My boosts are gone. So I pay for boosts that I can only use for a few hours, they shut down the server for hours and hours, the damm counting still goes down when I AM OFFLINE and that's it? Thank you pay again! For someone who's been playing since the beginning you would at least think this cannot happen, or in the very least that the timer doesn't continue when I am offline...how is this respectfull towards your customers?

By the way why allow people to buy these things when you know you are going the shut down the server for most of that day? I know you want money, everybody does, but at least have some respect.

PS: I have been able to play Hot Shot Dam Defense Once! Freight Yard not even once! I won't be the only one, how about compensating for that? How can this be normal for any game? I can take much, the lag, the glitches, the sound disappearing, the bugs and the above but this crosses a line gentlemen.

I don't know why you're boost was gone if it wasn't 24hrs from the time you purchased it but I understand what you're saying about the time still counting while you aren't online. But with my experience with 24hr boost or double xp I went through this in another game aswell except in that game it was free not paid for.

isnt there a disclaimer? anyways ...while in game go to support open a tickit and list the issue. I sold an orange item the other day. tried to get it back from the buy now, but had sold to much stuff. So i put a tickit in and no lie in like 5 min i had my rifle back. I have had 3-5 days of waiting on tickits before but this was a 5min ..so who know they might credit you some bits to buy a boost

Not sure why you werent able to play yesterday, I was on all day and most of the night and never had any downtime except for when I was timed out (simply reconnect and continue owning)..

If you pre-ordered Defiance and were playing since launch, you would know that boost timers run if you're not online or even during server down time. It probably is because the boost timers aren't tied into the game servers. They're likely tied into your account and then your account is tied into your game server. I'm not saying it's right that they do this. Most game companies do it this way though. I bought a KZ3 Helghast edition which came with a 24 double xp boost. Right when I activated it, the server went down and didn't come back for 8 hours. Since I had other things I had to do, I pretty much lost out on that all together.

At the launch of Defiance, we got 3 or 7 day boosts depending on which edition you bought. Even though the servers went down, the timers never got shut off. Shady business practices ftl.

I would contact your cc company and see if you can do a charge back since the service you bought wasn't delivered.

I'm with you on the boosts. I bought the season pass the other day and have been enjoying a 10% self loot boost ever since. The timer started at 190-200 hours! Its now down to 26 or so. It's sad to log back in each day after sleeping and working to see that I've lost about 18 hours between play sessions.

Hopefully yes. I plan on getting a new system. I would like to see it continue. as well as with PS4
