Question about the loot

Hi there,
I´m totally new to MMORPGS. Loot seems to mean Items, doped form dead enemy's, right?
There is one Question popping up when I look at the PVE´s (missions that you do in coop, its called PVE right?)
Lets say one big enemy drops something, can only one member of the team pick it up or appears it to every player´s game separately? And if only one can pick the loot up, doesn't this end into a war for the loops?
Hope you can understand what I´m trying to say, I´m not a native English speaker.

Yes loot is any item that an enemy drops when it dies. Loot is individual. What I mean by that is what you see on the ground is yours, as far as I know you are the only one who can see it.

but this is an mmotps not rpg. (to do with elements within the game)

yes loot refures to items that drop of the enemys, ie weapons/shields/ammo.

most of the "loot" what you see is what YOU get. so it stoped what we call Ninja's. or people who do nothing but stalk around just trying to get all the loot for themselves.

On the subject of loot - is something supposed to drop from the ark crystals after kersploding them?
Cuz.....kersplodered around 12 of them since I started playing 3 days ago, and the only drops I've ever seen were the basic stuff from the tons of dead enemy hellbugs and whatnot. Do you have to be like top DPS or something, cause I spent half of those healing people, running around while switching between BMGs.

yes, but the loot is turned off for beta on ark falls. something to do with balancing is still being done for launch.

as for what loot you get does depend on what you do, how helpful you are etc
