?????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????
All of the xbox's have been a HUGE failure!
They have ALL been "pay to play online" since day one...
The REAL failures are the people who did not bother to research BEFORE buying the system to find out they had to pay extra to get what PC and PlayStation players have been getting all along for FREE.
If i pay for my internet connection, then i have already paid for the ability to play my games online. To pay a company to "allow" me to use my already paid for internet connection is just plain STUPID.
It would be like me selling you a hamburger then charging you extra to be able to eat it !!
Ineed.. not only keeping a pay to play sub model, but now trying really hard to essentially copy what the PS3 was able top already do.
xbox will have less bandwidth and ability due to ddr3 vs. ps4's blazing fast ddr5
to resolve heating issues, the cpu and gpu are essentially merged together to make the rest of the system a heat control unit. PS4 though has a dedicaded gpu platform which itself is of a higher quality and capability.
xbox will come in a 500gb hdd at launch, but again, like the other systems, will not be able to be upgraded by simply swapping any 2.5" hdd, unlike the ps3 AND ps4, which do/will allow for swapping at will to any size/speed (I run ssd in my ps3).
IR..... lol... still no bluetooth integration, using a clunky and slow Infra red for external device and controllers is laughable, yet again... while Sony continues to stay on the edge of tech by using bluetooth.
and again.. only now does xbox attempt to be a home entertainment system (watch movies, surf the internet, play games, listen to music, chat, voip), something that sony has been doing since the ps2... day late and a dollar short there microshaft. as far as having them all going at the same time?? well. that's beyond pointless.. I myself wouldn't watch one source while listening to something else, if it is that boring why do it in the first place? if need be.. that is what my AV unit does for me anyways.. perhaps the next consoles will do that next.. completely replace the av unit..(wouldn't that be nice).
so.. what is left? well.. library.. what is left is how many games will be on each, the quality of the games ( I don't just mean graphically either, smooth play, smooth online multiplayer, oh, and more so I would like to see xbox games last more than their standard 3-18 hours, then it may compete with PS titles), the quality of the customer support and services.
much of this is dependent not on the console, but on the support given by developers. I also don't see microsoft using a subliminal spoofing campaign and viral advertising helping them this time around.
what will make the xbox win?
durability.. if they can get the system to last as long without failure as a ps3 (.05% failure rate vs 54.7% frp, 360)
games last longer than 3-18 hours of gameplay (something xbox users are accustomed to, but to win over pc and ps gamers this time frame needs bumped up)
there are a few other things that would help, but that is a whole other page, for now.. PS4 has the hardware portion won, they have also won in the capability department in terms of the number of things that can be done with the systems out of the box. While Sony not only owns more titles, and it is region free, the software race is still on. Many people will buy xbox again.. much the same as they voted for bush or obama.. with no real clue or reason why, just because..
Look for me later to post reviews of these systems in action, side by side, and see which is up to snuff on launch day.

I have both the xbox360 and ps3, as far as gaming they're comprable. I won't buy another sony console. they are the worst at supporting their product. how many exclusive games have they fired the developers, leaving their games w/ no support? I can think of at least three in the last year.

Hardware is not identical, it has already been stated the PS4 will be twice as powerful as the xboxone
Anyhow they do both come with an 8 Core CPU however PS4 will have DDR5 as opposed to DDR3 of xbox
Camera resolution of xbox is 1080p
PS4 will be 1280 x 800.
It all comes down to if you want a system that will also last for years
or in the case of xbox replace every few years. (I do have friends with xbox so going by what they have said. Besides i still have the very first PS3 and it has never crapped out.
Just upgraded the hard drive since then but it is still going strong
I just don't get their thought process of having to use Kinnect or sign in every 24 hours
Those with no connection are sol i guess
Which three are you speaking off? As far as bad support, I can't disagree hard enough. Sony is notorious for supporting studios that struggle to get products out. They support partners that flail about, and they give smaller studios an incredible amount of whatever they need to keep going without interference. They are generous to a fault to their user base in an economy that has been trained to be hostile by MS's influence. Not to say that they don't have faults, but they certainly are not terrible, and haven't spent the last two cycles conditioning their users to pay for middle man services.

Bullet shaped crispy wafers of corn by product with sweet marshmellow Hellbug skitterlings, and chewy chocolate shield pickups.
For a limited time only, random boxes come with a variant of the popular with kids "Dead Raider Blaster" figurine. Variants include bullet holed mohawk, and brown stained pants.
For me this thing about no used games is hard to swallow. Many times I payed for games only to find out later there were not for me. At least they could be swapped or sold. I have rented many games just to play their campaign in a few hours. I changed games with many local friends just to checked them out. None of this will be possible with Xbox. I hope Sony stays away from this idea.

Xbox has always sucked compared to Playstation. Don't even need facts, proof or explanations because it is just so. I have no idea how the new Xbox will work or how PS4 will do, but I know I will have PS4 because I trust/like Sony much more than Microsoft.
I'm a die-hard PS3er, but I can't deny many games have functioned better on the 360. Many games are originally programmed for Xbox and ported to PS3, hence more bugs. Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 are two big titles in that regard.
That said, the XboxOne looks like total garbage compared to the PS4. We'll have to see how it goes.
