Are there any guys that actually play as a Male Character?

To all the guys that keep saying that they play as females because they don't wanna look at a guys butt, why are u focused on any butts at all?? You actually get off wtaching a pixelated female character run around?? Wow. Focus on the guns and enemies. And get a real female in the real world to look at. Lamest excuse I ever heard

I'm not exactly sure why, but I usually wind up playing my first main character as a female. I suppose there's no particular reason other than being different. There are male human characters everywhere, and I've never been the type of person to follow the crowd, so I guess it's just my way of staying true to my rebel roots.

Also, when playing a male character the tendency is to make something an avatar of yourself that you identify with, something that there's a resemblance to yourself. But, since none of the available character models look like 45 year old, greying long haired, misanthropes, I suppose a female character is my best option.

I'm not gonna bother to read this entire thread, but in Fallout 3, I usually prefer a female character, so I can see a hot chick butt running around the entire game. And no, it's not to wack off as the guy above stated. It is because chicks are hotter than guys period. Guys are like the desert, and women are like a 7-eleven. (there's always something there we want) I don't blame any guy for wanting a hot female character to be on their screen constantly.

I'm not as willing to run a female character like this on an MMO, but still, it is nice to see chicks around. I do feel a little bit guilty though, when I aim my camera right down a female characters cleavage when she's standing at a store or something. They usually move away when I do it, haha.

I feel like... well, you know how the stunt-woman in the movie Catwoman for Hallie Berry is actually a male stunt man in a catwoman outfit? I feel a bit like that is the case 99% of the time or higher in Defiance... But the cleavage still looks good, hahaha.

EDIT: I have a female secondary character, and I have found that just about every outfit looks better on her than it does on my main male character (both Irathients)... I mean, goggles that look just stupid on the male model, are actually pretty do-able on the female models, for instance.

its because you are going to play this game for hours on end, what would you rather look at the whole time, dude butt or chick butt? I did the same thing for mass effect.

My characters during Beta/alpha were all males. Made a female when the game actually went live. I'll probably pay money to change how my character looks now.

I've always hated that phrase about looking at a chicks backside in games, often makes me think they are hiding something about themselves (not that there's anything wrong with that) or are just complete pervs. Seriously guys its just pixels not even a scan of a real female. LOL

Usually my main toon in any MMO will look similar to me and more or less an extension of me. Of course that does not mean that I confuse the game with real life as some people like to believe is common. After that my alts will be whatever after all most MMO's are about role playing. Of course men, including myself, can not pull off seeming like a real woman in their game persona. Usually you can figure it out in less then 10 minutes.
