the game is installed on your console your character data is saved on the server, every mmo works this way. it prevents cheating and allows you to use you character data on another machine.
So I'm wondering if I pause the patch before it finishes wil it not patch error once the servers come back online if I un pause it.
Gay just saw they fixed the car bouncing thing, Which was more entertaining than actually playing the game half the time.

Just restart your xbox, and it should/may be working fine. I was watching the technical issues 360 section about this.
The community managers did respond to this issue and they had the team check it out to see whats wrong. Not everyone is having this issue, but restarting the xbox worked just fine for me. Hope it does for you.

That time has passed. Right now, they pulled the servers down, AGAIN. For emergency patches.

weapons and gear i imagine, but i don't know what that would have to do with the boosts menu since there is no logical link between that menu and item storage/management.
Expect there to be a few more orange weapons afterwards, so be carefull when trading for orange gear
if there are cloned oranges out there the trade costs should drop but i dought it so even more room to get ripped off
when the patch come the other day there was a error so i had to delete all the other defiance patches, and it had to reinstall the game , i thought my character may be gone, but my character was still there, so your character is saved on the servers.

had to re install it too coz of an error.....i hope my char is not deleted.....
I had the same thing happen to me, except my Xbox didn't lock up and I just started patching again. It started where it left off I'm pretty sure cause about 10 mins later it was done. I'm sure if you wait it out like other people said you won't have to install the game again.
