206,401 arksalvage to reset weapon xp?

ill break it down for you guys that don't understand why im pissed. I bought this game for the random loot aspect of it. I love games like diablo, torchlight, borderlands etc...
so now im ego 4400 and at this point the end game is either finding orange items or ones with perfect stats for me at least. coincidently the ONLY way to get anything orange is through the lockboxes. how do I do that without spending actual cash because I refuse to do so? well I can grind the same now boring coops over and over for keycodes, or do the same extremely easy arkfalls for keycodes which got old really fast. or I can use my method and break down all the garbage drops into arksalvage to buy keycodes with. which ive been ok with.
BUT having to spend in my eyes 200+ keycodes just to reset the weapon xp so I can enjoy and use this great gun to lvl up my gun skills with is outrageous. they either need to drastically lower the arksalvage cost or replace it with scrip, since scrip is basically pointless at this stage of the game
btw its not just resetting weapon xp that's sickingly expensive. it also costs a stupid amount to add a mod slot or remove mods
im sadly addicted to this game and see great potential in it, but if im not opening lockboxes or having fun using the weapons I don't see much reason to keep playing this game.

I realize trion isn't making me buy anything,but if you cant see how the company is nudging players toward the cash shop youll soon have an epiphany when you reach a higher ego level.

I see what you mean lol...no but honestly, I will never pay real money for fake video game money. I find it much more satisfying to play the game and earn what I get. To me, buying bits and basically having oranges handed to you just defeats the purpose of the game...for me anyways. The orange guns aren't so much better than the other guns that your at a disadvantage if you don't have one. I will play the game the way I have and earn my keycodes....getting my weapons and loot from earning them is what makes it rewarding to keep playing. I feel like I'm always working towards a goal..thats what makes it fun to me. But no....I will never buy bits.

I don't want to sound like a ****** but at ego level 4400 (Nice job by the way) shouldn't your guns be at level 20 already? You shouldn't have the need to reset your weapons?
After completing all the side missions and main missions I got real tired really fast doing the same ol same ol to level so I started with one weapon and just went from there. I am just about 2800 ego and almost all my guns are level 20 or close to it. I really don't have any need to reset them.

At 4400 you should have maxed your favourite weapon skill unless you really gotten it via full time 99 farming.

I'm at 3975 and I have 4 maxed weapon types, saw-off/bmg/launchers at 10 and the rest at 15+.

However I do agree with you that salvage matrix costs are beyond ridiculous in general. If they are going to increase the cost at high EGO, then the high EGO weapons should scape for more as well. If they aren't willing to do that, then put a fixed modding/reset amount regardless of level because right now, high EGO players are been punished.

We (people with more than 2000 ego) should just pretend this new weapon reset thing does not exist.

I have about half the skills maxed out, however I found a high level orange nomad id like to use to lvl up my smgs. Was excited to get a lot of use out of it knowing the weapon reset was coming, but alas it will cost me too many keycodes err ark salvage to enjoy the gun and utilize the weapon reset.

honestly I would run mine 99 like 5 times and get sick of it. I ranked up fast as hell getting 1st place at every arkfall using my lvl 20 lmg skill(18000 xp per). however it sucks now because I don't get xp anymore, can only increase ego doing the pursuits I haven't finished yet 80/104?

They need to increase salvage looted with increasing ego...It's that simple! At ego 2800, I never get mod slots because of the ridiculous salvage cost. It would be nice to mod all weapons but its not fun when it takes days of salvage to mod one weapon. Ugh....

Prices are just silly now, out of spite i'll refuse to even buy bits due to the SLIGHTLY overtuned ark salvage prices for mod adding mod slots and weapon exp resets at higher ego levels.

I'm not 4400 but even for me, doing a weapon reset would atleast cost me between 100-150k which is quite alot.
Two days of farming possibly? And in that time I could max out my orange wolfhound 3-4 times atleast.

No to high prices, already spent a buttload on getting 4 mod slots on my oranges.
It's tough times man! Recession and shyte!! Nerf the prices bro!

WOW...just wow, if ppl stop and actually read the weapon stats whites have the same damage as your oh so dear purp or orange. Only difference is the one or two item stats. If being able to reload a stowed weapon or +200% melee damage etc.etc. is that important pay the salvage and don't whine about it. Salvage is easy to farm but too many ppl have chosen cry and moan instead of figuring out how to play this game(and I understand "playing" is becoming more and more difficult as "improvements and fixes are applied)1. max out loot perk(crit kill, explosive kill, melee kill whatever you enjoy most) to +3% 2. Get one of the scavenger weapon plus mods from Soleptor; this will be the most time consuming so don't wait to start. So now your at +3% to +5% drop from mobs 3. Farm Liberate, Soleptor mine, Motherlode, or 101 keys or a combination. Without the scavenger weapon and including boss keys I burn around 150 keys a night after a 3-4 hour session that includes vendor hopping every 30min
