The patch was 2.6GB, took me nearly 2 hours to download.

WTF! 2.6GB of patch? Wow, first thing when I get home is to start the download, then have dinner, shower, watch some tv, and finally if lucky be able to play.
NOOOO WTF! MOTHER !#%!#er... I just re-installed the game, LIKE IT FORCED ME TOO! And I have to re-download the ENTIRE BLOODY PATCH again... Take deep breaths... I swear to God, if I get another patch error after another two hours of downloading patches...

I honestly feel sorry for you. Start the download and go have get some coffee and relax. Hopefully by the time you get back, it'll be up and running.
