On another note, I -really- hope he is a character we see in the TV series too.
There is not a single episode in the storyline where he didn't act bravely when faced actually dangerous guys. Also he refer to protagonist as "friend" in start scene despite protagonist is hired employee.
I don't see him as an ******* - he just don't care about most people around. Like Ron Swanson.
