You're flogging a dead horse. All these people moaning seem to think that small scale beta testing is enough to fix everything, and they won't be able to see otherwise because they are blinded by idiocy.

beta testing doesn't fix bugs, it only helps expose them
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

Very true.. It's a lost cause to try and get people to realize this crap. Can't fix stupid, despite the undeniably large amount of facts to the contrary.

Might I suggest maybe doing something different for a while? maybe interact with real people in real life??? Any time you hear that they are going to be doing a major patch just don't plan on playing till late that night or even the next day and you won't have to plague us with the server down complaints....

I'm just telling you how software upgrades go in the real world. I'm sorry your fanboy glasses force you to accept the game's development teams continued mistakes. I'm sharing an industry level view of how upgrades work. MMO matters not. If they dictate their outage window, the type of application is irrelevant. There is no excuse for missing your outage window. A lack of QA testing patches and the lack of a successful deployment team is unacceptable. It's not just making Trion look bad but the continued failures are starting to look bad on xbox and PS as well.

Here is the essence of what this all boils down to.

    OP: QQ
    1P: QQ2
    2P: ^Stop QQing
OP, 1P: NO! WE HATE THIS GAME IT SUCKS
2P: Then return it, trade it, sell it, or break it. We won't miss you and thanks for supporting the game with your initial purchase.
    OP, 1P: WAHHH YOU'RE AN *******!

Well said Nova, I too am in the software industry though not gaming, and our development team spend months testing all conceivable operating situations prior to a new release. Sometimes though, certain parameters are met by maybe only one or two of our customers and this triggers a regression bug.
This is probably what has happened in this instance. Our method on this would be to look at the problem and find a work around for those one or two people and then work on a permanent fix. Obviously a work around in a game cannot be applied so the only course of action left open to "Trion Worlds" is to close the servers and fix the issue.

Maybe I have been playing games too long, over 25yrs, but patience is something worth having, so I will sit and wait for the fix and come back tomorrow to play.

Keep up the work "T. W." this is one gamer happy to wait and more than happy with the whole game

For the record, I'm not a fanboy. Nothing irks me more than calling someone a fanboy because they provide an explanation, observation or statement of some fact, or whatever, that doesn't fit your general scope of the matter. Now, granted I haven't done much in the terms of programming or software development in my life time, but I am a graduate in Computer Sciences and there will always be issues that testing won't reveal until it's put into play.

trion got you money already , from what i have seen in the last month they really dont care about the customers. I stated several times give them 6 month and they will fix the large amount of bugs and problems that the game has. Just give them time they are a very small company and very new at developing games
