we all have been waiting for this game for some time. But you need to understand trion isnt one of the big game development companies and also from what i have read on ign trion had a very large restructioning so who knows what type of staff they are working with. Just give it time and it will be playable and the servers will be back up again

wow, such hate. I'll continue to troll since everybody else is.

I never claimed to be in the GAME industry. I said i'm in the software development and deployment industry. I know it's hard to believe that there is other software in the world other than video games. Pick what you want to believe. I guess I don't believe everything I read on the Internet either. You're probably best to be like Littlefinger when it comes to the web. Trust nobody.

I am shocked at the amount of people that have this unconditional love for this service. How many times will you accept missed deadlines from the patch team? Sure they got our initial $60, but I bet they'd love to get my $X I and many others might have spent on add-ons and bits. People do leave game in the dust over this sort of thing. I enjoy the game but I too will have my break point someday.

This forum is basically a venting post. I don't need to validate my opinions through anybody on this forum, I am simply supporting the OP and expressing that I too feel his disgust for not once but multiple times being told an outage window and having that outage last hours longer than is should. It's is making Trion look very bush league and chances are many people that picked this game up will not pick up another Trion game because of this.

There you go. Flame away fanboys...

Since this game is global, I could see this being a challenge, but since the majority of players are U.S. This upgrade/patch should have been applied overnight or by using some sort of activity report to find the deadest time. I can assure you that 9 am is not that time.

Fail over systems are a must. For a game that makes you play online, they should have a better contingency plan in place. While today's issues do not effect me, I'm still pretty embarrassed for Trion since they have not learned from their last patch mistakes and they are giving the impression of "to bad, they can wait". They do have our money already and we don't pay a monthly fee, but taking our money and continuing to produce the same patch mistakes over and over again is unacceptable. I feel bad for the players that dropped real $$ for bits to buy boosts only to have them drift away while hours of outage take place.
ding ding ding!! we have a winner. I'm sick of the cry babies on these forums but everything you posted is very logical and imo there is no excuse for trion to not take your advice. Doing these patches over night would totally make more sense and eliminate alot of peoples frustration. The majority of the gaming community have jobs and the majority of those jobs are in the daytime so Trion please do these patches over night. That would give you 15 plus hours to get it right. The only reason I can think not to is if more EU people play the game then U.S. people but surly thats not the case.

Trion committed themselves to putting out the game, and doing what they do to maintain it, and fix whats wrong with it. When you play the game, you are putting time into your character, and are maintaining it.
Personally, I bought one of the game for myself, one for a good friend, and one that I ground up into powder so I could snort that sh*t. Be cool everybody, TRION isn't motivated to fix anything while we talk smack at them and say hateful things. Have a Dr. Pepper, put your feet up, and chill.

exactly. This is like the 5th mmo for the 360 and only the second one (final fantasy 11 is the other) that didnt have to be pulled off the shelves within a month of release due to it not working at all. This is unknown territory for developers and imo they are doing a pretty good job. Just wish they would start the patches earlier..

Sure, I'll take my money back if they are offering, but I'll tear the hand of the first man or woman who tries to take my game...

So what you are saying is that although most of us gamers have jobs during the day if they want to run an online game they should make all of their employees (some with families and children at home) work overnight to fix the issues so you can play. Its not like it takes one guy to fix things like this. I will admit it sucks not being able to play but you can test things all you want in a small sample size and have no idea whats going to happen with it once the masses get on.

It's a good point that you made but they are doing a job and therefore are getting paid so working over night once a month shouldn't be too much to ask. I know if my job required me to work over night once in awhile then I would do it. I too have a family so getting that paycheck is much more important then working weird hours once in awhile.

That being said I didn't really consider the fact that the problems with the patches could be because of lots of people being on the servers at once but I doubt thats the case.

Wel said. I agree with mostof your points but what I meant by the masses geting on is that any gamer of any age could easily find a glitch in 5 minutes by pure accident that the company didnt find after hours of testing. Some glitches are very stuational and such glitches as this duplication glitch are quickly to be exploited.
