Well this escelated quickly.. Remember everyone has there own opinion. And mine is that you are wrong Avril, everyone is a gamer, in my opinion "Fake" gamers are people who say they play games, just for attention.

Casual players beat games too, just not in 1 day. So that makes them "fake gamers"?

I'd say a fake gamer is anyone who takes "gamer classes" seriously.
Everyone else is just a gamer.

My uncles (big gaming fans) made me play games like "Doom", "Duke Nukem", "Quake", and many others at the age of 3, I wasn't really even conscious of my own existence til around 10 years old due to a problem with my brain (doesn't affect me now). Though even in that state of my life, my uncles did always say I was very good games.

Since then, I've always been a fan of games, going from the Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Playsation, GameBoy, GameBoy Advance, GameBoy Advance SP, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox, Nintendo DS, PSP, PC, Xbox 360, Playsation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

I could probably say I've even achieved a lot thanks to gaming, such as managing to hit the top N7 Rank on Mass Effect 3, both the top player and top team on Syndicate, was the top player of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (probably not now as I haven't played it in 3 years), and other achievements will probably be added to this list

So I am and probably always will be, a gamer at heart

Fake-Gamer aka casual player
The "Pro" players view anyone who doesn't spend there life in front of a video game as being "Fake" or "not a real" gamer, this comes out of an elitist attitude formed mainly by console gamers who play FPS and are rabid PVP'rs.

You've missed the whole point but that is quite alright. You still divided the gaming community, the real gaming community.

There is no "real gaming community",... there's just Gamers that share the same likings that play together.
Which ends up in vastly different groups being set up, just as these so called "Pro-Gamers" compared to the "Casual-League"... but sure you'll disagree again on that, but that's up to you and sure your right to have your own opinion.

I don't feel that casual gamers should be referred to "fake-gamers". They are still gamers, therefor they should remain by the term of "gamers". Along with the pro gamers being called "pro-gamers".
