And people are still talking about the Red Ring; after 4-5 years. That occurs in a very small percentage since the release of the 2nd Gen of the 360 Elites; and since the 360 Slims it's even a smaller chance of that happening. PS3 is a good console; if I had both, I'd play both. Every console has it's Pro's and Con's. All are equally good; including PC and Mac.

If you had both you'd only play the PS3 and be thankful you saw the light. (Not the red ring of lights lol)

I had a PS3 before; and that burnt out in less than a year. The console didn't even give me a sign that it went out, it just stopped working. I enjoyed the PS3 mostly for the RPG games, while I enjoy the 360 more for Shooters.

I would prefer to play on the PC though, but my CPU burnt out. The only thing that I have that is still holding it's ground is my 360.

I like how all the PS fans are on here trying to fight about Xbox being the inferior console; when the PS3 got hacked and they were down for 23 days. I blame PS3 for this downtime.

... ok just for the record so everyone knows Playstation network went down for 23 days not because of the ps3 getting hacked but the entire sony corporation getting hacked (this includes sonys music, movie, electronics, and gaming divisions) its pretty amaizing that they reworked there entire corporate server structure in that small amount time....

other than that this thread seems like a good way to pass some time while the servers are down....

Note: all this being said i am a ps3 player and am in no way defending or condeming either ps3 or the xbox360

First off, Mac is not a viable gaming platform, and no you can't claim a dual booted mac is viable because you are still playing games on the Microsoft side, which emulates a PC.

Second off, Each platform may have merits, but the flaws often outweigh them. Honestly, I have always been a nintendo fanboy, but they aren't really in the competition for more mature games, so I chose the PS3, while most of my friends chose the 360. Cut to present day, and we all have PS3s, each and every single one of them have found multiple reasons to switch, and every single one of them is happy to this day.


And lastly, leave it to xbox gamers to blame others for the problems, sounds like they've learned well from Microsoft.
