Probably just for when the patch went live and people started playing. I don't know about anyone else but I had like only about 15 minutes of play time before the servers went back down.

It is pretty funny though.. 4 hours downtime for patch... Comming up to 3 hours now downtime for emergency maintenance only 45 minutes after the 4 hour wait.. They are patching in 1.030 apparently.
