That's literally on the other side of the tree!

I don't think the OP either read or has tried many of the perks. At first glance you may think "Meh" but trying them out proves differently. Look at Overcharge and all the perks around it that deal with Explosive kills... Using only 3 of these with a Grenade launcher as my main weapon I not only rarely need to reload but I get my grenade refreshes in 1-5 seconds! This is far from being negligible.

That, or he doesn't know you have to equip them.

I wasn't aware of that at first as I was unlocking them, so I was like, "Where the **** is my ammo?"

If you have a decoy, fully decked out with all the -damage perks, you can crouch, and resist direct gun fire from a turret for quite a while, even longer if it shoots you in the back.

I have to say that with the perks giving a slight improvement is great. It allows you to focus on your play style strengths to compensate for certain weaknesses. This creates a very balanced PvP environment and allows everyone to play quite equally. its the same in call of duty and battlefield 3. I have to say i enjoy overcharge myself and i recognize the usefulness of the other classes. I do think it odd that most of the perks lean toward melee and explosive but that is for someone else to use and not me. i find myself screwing around on this thing ( http://defiance-central.com/ego-calculator/ ) a lot and ive become quite satisfied with my decisions thus far.

All I know I will never spec into any sort of self revive or other player revive perks. They are worthless and only reason to put a point into themt is to progress to perks that are actually semi useful.

Only thing I can add is that I would prefer if perks like cloak and such were toggles and not based on duration alone.

Meh, I didnt mind the Perk so much. Although during my play through I only used ones off the Stealth Tree. I ended up with two different loadouts which worked well for me.

First was solo mission build Cloak, Assassins Cache, Hunters Stance, and Hunker Down.

Second build was run and gun. Cloak, Assassin's Cache, Nerves of Steel, and Gunslinger. This was my Arc Fighting build.

"This game needs well defined classes, such as sniper, tank, melee, stealth, support, etc. but so far each and every character build is basically the same, with slight variations."

DONOT DO THIS , This would kill the brilliant game that lets you be what you want to be not confirmed to what sterotypes dictate.

People who want structured classes and DEFINED classes have no imagination and want to be told what to do ..

Why not be a Jack of all trades and actualy play the game for fun , it is a rpg, fpsmmo after all!!!
