Lolwut? I got one of the original block Ps3s when it came out and I could listen to music while playing games (most games). Some didn't let you for w/e reason.

Well I'm jealous that you can listen to music on yours and I can't. But I was lucky enough to get one that is fully backwards compatible.

seems like they're focusing more on media and gimmicks than actual gaming. Hate to say it but I think the 360 will be my last console until these companies remember that it is gamers that put them where they are. Just dusted of my SNES so I guess I'm all set

What exactly were you expecting? A giant leap in graphics? Virtual Reality? It's an Xbox, it's pretty much a given that it is going to play games with next gen graphics. The whole point of the unvieling was to show off the new features. The only issue anybody should have is what's up with the "always online".

As far as the lack of games shown, that's for E3. Sony showed off like 5 games at it's conference and NO console and hardly any mention of the new PSN.

Honestly I was happy with the graphics in final fantasy 8 they could of stopped right there in my opinion. I just don't get the point of pushing almost real graphics to look slightly more almost real.

At the end of the day all these new apps are useless to me but it wont make me not buy a xbox UNLESS ps4 specs are better and exclusive are better. That is all that matters to real gamers anyway right specs and games.

Well with all the xbox one's gaming restrictions I don't think I will be in a rush to get one. However, I highly like the changes with the PS4's controller (my main issue with the PS3), if they add some sort of party chat and the ability to play music while you game I'm sold. I'm just worried about losing my xbox friends...

I think party chat ruined online console games. I remember everybody being in the game chat, now its impossible to talk to anybody but little kids. Used to meet cool people and talk **** in gears and cod4 all day

I care about specs and games. I do not care for more commercialized media in my life.


Truth be told, i have the original xbox and it has broke 7 times, been repaired every time. I have gone through about 12 controllers, 20+ mics (until my t11's, still working great) and I have upgraded my HDD 2x.

I think the original concept for the console was great, but in the past 3 years I have failed to understand bs after bs after bs from Microsoft.

Their new business model is horrible and misleading. Yes you can have all these great apps on your console but then not only do you have to pay for internet, xbox service and then pay for all these other apps is ridiculous. Nothing is free on xbox nothing.

I love the fact that in the past 7 years they have never changed the payment options for Microsoft points. Almost all arcade games, DLC and full games are a fixed price, that means that you can buy a game for 1200 Microsoft points but wait.....you have to buy more points then you need!!! Stupid!

Their customer support is a joke and they are arrogant.

I understand that things like this happen but they have made NO valid attempts at fixing many issues that are complained about. Instead they think money and that is it, the "create loyal customer base" plan has long been dead is over.

When it was good it was good, but i cant shake the feeling that its almost like seeing your ex gf who dumped you, only to find out she got impregnate by a janitor who left her...now living with her parents again...i feel sympathy but happy to see her miserable.
