I haven't confirmed how they compute the cost of reseting weapon xp yet. My 2300 lvl legendary Assault rifle was 112, 000 ark salvage to reset xp and my lvl 1271urple lmg was only 46,000. Not sure yet if they are going off weapon rarity or weapon ego lvl

Wait, so you can reset your favorite weapon EXP back to zero?? Sorry, I'm super n00btastic to this game.
