    Favourite Music?

So I'm pretty much new to these forums, and it seems that the Off Topic forum is filled with pretty funny and cool people, so I thought I'd get to know some of you by starting up a discussion.

So, what does everybody listen to? What are your favourite genres, bands, or songs? Is there anything you listen to that's "weird"?

I myself am a die-hard metalhead, but I listen to a whole bunch of stuff, and I started getting into more funk-oriented stuff when I started playing bass. A lot of people also consider it rather odd that my favourite singer is Frank Sinatra, given that I'm a metalhead.

    Die hard metal fan.

    More specifically progressive metal.

    Even more specifically dream theater.

I swear they are ****ing musical geniuses and some of the top musicians in the world.

As a guitarist of 9+ years It actually takes time to learn their sings xD not to much though.

Check out the entire metropolis part 2 scenes from a memory album.

Or in this order of songs

    As I am

    Lost not forgotten

    The spirit carries on

    Beyond this life.

    Or for some heavy music

    A nightmare to remember.

4/5 of those songs are over 10 min so yeah.

I honestly don't think I've heard of a single one of those.

A change of seasons 25 min

    Octavarium 24 min

    Stream of consciousness 13 min

And the almighty most hardcore prog song ever

Six degrees of inner turbulence 46 min long

A song about 6 mental illnesses

Call me a hipster but they are less known however still very good. They are all different so definitely check them all out. You are bound to like one band.

Off the top of my head the only song I know by them Scenes From a Memory - Dance of Eternity, which is a pretty crazy song. Learned some of it on bass, too. And yeah, they are pretty much musical geniuses from what I've heard, good bassist too.

Quoted the wrong person by accident XD and I know like four songs by all those bands combined.
