Critical Error After Last Patch

So after the last patch it keeps asking me to re-install the game, when i try this i keep getting "failed to install necessary game file. please try again." I have deleted the saved game file and re-installed but keep getting same error. Has this happened to anybody else, and does anyone know how to fix it, any help would be much appreciated.

Delete the Installed game, and all related patches (multiple GB each), from your Xbox 360 HDD. Re-install the game and all patches. That worked for me.

Cheers that seems to have fixed it(should have thought of that my self ..lol.)

Yeah when you look in your hard drive under Defiance there is 3 different files with patch data at the end of them. Or at least there is 3 after i downloaded todays or yesterdays patch. You have to delete all 3 before you reinstall. Dont worry it happened to me after i downloaded it. Patch error. So im reinstalling as we speak. Lol

MAN I had to do this I think next time a patch comes out im gona leave it a day or two so they can spot the problems then it should work

I did everything said and I still get a patch error. Don't know what to do. I'm really worried that I can't ever play this game again please need some type of help

Do you even have to delete the 85mb patch? That's the save game file with your character on it. If you delete that then surely you've lost everything?

All character info is stored on Trion's servers. No matter what you delete, it will still be ok.

Just deleted the 2 larger gig patches and reinstalled them. Works fine now :-)

Is there anything OTHER than deleting and re-installing?????? Because that is not working
