Let's say the Volge invade an area, players respond and fail at capturing/holding/accomplishing the goals. Do we now have random encounters with Volge elsewhere throughout the world until the "lost" siege area is reclaimed by the players? Personally, this would be awesome in my opinion but I'm curious what the rest of you think about this.
Trion did something like this with rifts. They could grow exponetially if unchecked and late at night it could be anoying lol. It was an awsome thing to an extent, until u couldnt use the town hubs because of it and it stayed there for an hour, then it got anoying lol. I havent heard anythng about that though, as far as i kno u just wont the rewards and theyll despawn. On this topic though these open world events are almost identical to rifts and rift invasions. If this trend keeps up well have pvp arkfalls before long lol (i hope not with the way this game plays though, i just dnt thnk that would work well.

my TOP changes that make defiance a better game (random order):
    • interface improvements (including chat) - easier loadout selection - more graphics settings - fix cloak - jetpacks! - realistic day/night cycle+weather - ressource collection and crafting - improved social aspects (easier player to player interactions) - more daily/weekly events - flying vehicles

I need to change my pants if I'm honest, I was hoping something like this would be implemented into Defiance. The only thing that I want to know is if these 'Sieges' can be set up at any given time.

I'm not the one for waiting around hoping an event will like this will 'pop up' randomly, however, seeing as Shadow Wars can be set up and people need to join in order for it to begin then these Sieges shouldn't be any different.
I think it's more like an arkfall, than Shadow War in the way it happens.

Sounds like control point attack and defense from Tabula Rasa, which was fun. Sounds good to me.

I think it's going to be an event that has millions of mobs that you could level your weapons with but still can't.

    That's what I think.

Looking forward to it, and to really any expansion on the playable content. Kudos that this one sounds fun.

I'm very excited about this, it sounds similar to FFXI's besieged (which I loved) but on a much larger scale. Definitely a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned, I know the game has it's issues but seeing progress towards things like this continues to give me hope. Even when I start feeling it's a little misplaced sometimes.

    Edit: 1st post!
