I don´t see the problem. First OP said he could golden every timetrail in the first try. So this timetrails shouldn´t be such a problem, too!
I had a blast, seeing 5 cars crashing in the monarch, only to see this five people jump straight again in the timetrail only to recognized, that the monarch was still there!
The timetrails are not that hard. Ok, they are not easy, but filling them up with some random barrier is a good thing for me.
And after all that whinig going on on these forum I can understand sledge react like this. It wasn´t mean or anything, only thing he said was: its not ment to be easy, try harder. Whats wrong with this.
Look at how many people managed to get gold in 15 minutes. I think this shows, that this race was not unbeatable.

We never said these would be easy.

Some of the emergencies spawn effective roadblocks in such a way that you cannot get past without sacrificing time. That makes going for top scores have an element of blind luck to it, as a player that manages to run the course with no emergencies popping up in his path has a measurable advantage.

It really shocked me that my car exploded just by passing close to a monarch, I know I didn't touch it, I was just trying to avoid it and thin air destroyed the car.

I didn't usually use my vehicle as a weapon but this is kinda silly.
How are we supposed to complete the kill mobs by running over them pursuit now?

Your car recharges over time. There is an emergency that spawns nothing but skitterlings, and it normally comes up in the middle of the road. I can't remember the name of the emergency, but you basically just do donuts while skitterling guts fly everywhere. It's very...cathartic

Exactly! You get everyone who has complaints, regardless of the reasoning for them, to quit out of frustration. That's definitely the way to keep a game afloat.
