    Halo Bootcamp

Looks like another Defiance style game on the horizon?

Not many details, but with the new Halo live action TV show in the works who wants to bet this is the MMO that will run alongside?

I'm not a PC gamer, so I will not be looking into it unfortunately.

Halo 4 was pathetic. It threw out the classic, skill based combat of the originals in favor of crappy, perk-based CoD crap. 343 is a sad excuse for a development studio. I mean when they were created by the soul sucking demons of Microsoft for the sole purpose of milking the Halo franchise for everything it's worth, you can tell what kind of quality games they will produce. 343 can go suck a Pow's rod.

Meh I just never really liked Halo. Too much bunny hopping, I hate the shields (seriously, if I shoot you in the face, you should die instantly, shields are bs). I also feel Halo got way too much hype and it's the WoW of FPS's.

If you hate shields and bunny hopping, then how the hell do you play Defiance?

I don't think it is an MMO but from what I have read it is a third person shooter that is set in the halo universe and is unlinked to the current halo timeline.

Yeah, Reach had problems but still felt to me like a Halo game. The Armor Abilities was a cool idea but should have been implemented better. In my opinion, you should have had to find them on the map, much like the MLG playlists. Oh, and Armor Lock was insanely OP and annoying. Most damningly, it broke game flow. Having to sit and wait for a player to pop out of it was just irritating. They should have made it so it didn't make you invincible but instead give you an increased damage resistance. That way there would be some bleed through. Also, you should have been locked into it. So no popping in and out. That would have forced players to be smarter with it.

As for the loadouts, I I liked them; But there should have been more playlists that didn't use them.

My biggest complaint about Reach was the characters. I felt that the game didn't let me connect with them. So when one of them died it was less of a "NOOOOOOOO!!!! BASTARDS!" and a "Oh, that kind of sucks." They should have made the game longer and have the first three or so missions be about the rebels. That way you get to see a little bit more of that side of the Halo universe and you get to connect more with your squad. Also, spoiler in case you haven't played it: Kat's death scene was one of the worst scenes Bungie ever made. It was rushed and didn't make any sense in the context of the universe and game. A needler round doesn't go straight through flesh and they never mentioned having their shields knocked out. So how did she get one shotted by a Needler rifle? It was stupid and still irritates me.

As for Halo 4; It's a generic CoD clone with a Halo paint job and the only people saying otherwise are franchise fanboys who buy the game not for the actual gameplay, but because of the name on the box.

What they should have done with Halo after Bungie left was make Halo 4 more like Halo 3, and make a sequel to Reach which was more like a modern military shooter. The games could have even had interconnecting stories so players would be encouraged to play both. Imagine it: In Halo: Reach 2 you play as a Spartan-IV that's apart of some squad and there's a section where you get to roll with Master Chief. And now imagine playing Halo 4 as Master Chief and rolling with that same squad.

Of course, they would never have done that because they wanted to sucker the old fans like us in so they could get our money.

i would be a halo fanboy and of course could not wait for 4 to come out never mind reviews or anything was going to buy the game. the campaign was good, typical master chief going round pressing buttons on things he doesn't know what will happen and destroying everyone and everything. the matchmaking is horrible, to many power weapons, bad spawns, laggy and more problems. Halo 4 was a big let down and i think it will have lost more fans than gained. I was a ps fan then bought my first xbox after playing halo 1 on a mates just for halo 2 and bought the 360 mainly for halo games but will not be going out of my way for 5.
Like your idea for the start of reach and agree with your comments on cats death but you cant have a reach 2 the planet is destroyed at the end. The whole point of reach is to tell the story of how master chiefs team of spartans died and the planet was lost. You cant meet master chief because hes not on reach hes away making halo 1. They should make a new odst game this could be set anywhere in the halo universe and could give you your modern military shooter. This is what i want
