Was the damage nerf intended?

The heavy scattergun used to be 168x12 base damage, now it's 168x8 similar to the regular FRC scattergun expect it has a lower fire rate, smaller mag and slower reload. Not to mention the huge hip spread making this gun awful after the patch.

My question is, was this intended?

Did trion purposely destroy this weapon or is this a bug like the bonuses not working?

It's not like shot guns where worth using in the first place any way... Horrible dmg from the start then they nurfed it.
Need a door stop? just use that shot gun over there that's collecting dust now... I'll be scrapping it later any ways.
