As your EGO level increase, so does the cost of modifying weapons.

Which is kinda frustrating given the fact that weapons don't get any better after the initial power gap at around ~1600.

You are wrong, higher weapon level higher price increase on resources, EGO lvl doesn't matter on it, i tested my self
