As far as I'm concerned this is just a "I want" thing that was easy to add.
The costs are restrictive at high EGO levels and without awarding a different bonus on the weapon you re-max, looting or buying a same / similar weapon to level is better.

I'd say he means that the higher your EGO level is, the more Ark Salvage it will require to reset your weapon back to it's experience gaining state. It would be much smarter, if you'd still like to gain experience, to use a different weapon all together. It would be a waste of materials just to reset a weapon that doesn't even change the Max level reward for said weapon. If you truly love that weapon, save it. Use it for boss fights and / or PvP.It may be just because its early, but I am failing to see what your point is, and I do mean that respectfully.

I have piles of Ark Resources. I don't think the cost is out of line. I'm just glad the feature they wanted from the beginning is back in. Sometimes you really like a particular style of a type of weapon. Instead of waiting for that to drop being able to reset it is nice. Time while not having fun or not doing what I want to do is more important to me than managing my in game resources..
Although yeah there was some sticker shock.. I think I'd have less arkfall if you could trade for more than one key at a time...
Im not positive on this but i think the price is based on the difference between the weapon ego rating and yiur personal rating. After messing around wih different weapon levels this seems to b true.

Wait until level 32xx when you need 130,000 scraps to reset a green weapon....I have piles of Ark Resources. I don't think the cost is out of line.
