Totally missed this thread when it was hot so sorry for bumping. Besides, you all should know by seeing the other "movie topic" threads that this is something I tend to have diarrhea of the lips over.

I was born in the 70's but really started getting into movies in the 80's so a lot of my favorite horror films will be of the slasher type. Of course the standards apply...Friday the 13th, Halloween, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Masacre, etc. I also really enjoyed some that maybe aren't as well known (with some that are).

Pieces. Sleep Away Camp. Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Phantasm (loved all three actually). The Stuff (you will never be able to eat ice cream or yogurt comfortably again lol). Into the Mouth of Madness. The Hills Have Eyes (the remakes aren't bad actually but I do prefer the originals). Christine (not really scary but man I loved that movie!). Cujo ( I was attacked by a dog when I was two and have been scarred ever since. I was panicking through this whole movie. Still good though). Hellraiser. Silent Night, Deadly Night.

    Some newer ones I enjoyed:
The Strangers. Quarantine. Drag Me to Hell. A good friend of mine is trying to get me to watch the Human Centipede, which I've heard is...out there.

Funny thing about the Exorcist is that I didn't even get to watch it until I was 25 almost 26. Don't ask why as I don't really know. I do remember watching (in the dark) and thinking, "I don't get what the deal is". This was about the time the little girl did the backwards spider walk down the stairs and started pouring blood out of her mouth. The ONLY time I've ever had to turn on a light was at that moment!

I'm a sucker for the old Hammer Horror movies. Great shows. Top 3 of my more 'up to date movies'......

    Dawn of the Dead (remake)
    Hills of Eyes (remake)
Saw (first one, rest were rubbish)

Oh and how could I forget the Psycho movies (the original and not the remake)
