@trion - clarification on new arena mode - exclusive for dlc buyers?

i don't know if i interpreted the statement about the arena mode correctly. will you have to purchase the dlc or do you have to know a friend who purchased the dlc to participate in the arena mode.

or can anyone participate in that mode?

Those that purchase the DLC have access. Those that go with the free DLC have access provided that they have a friend who purchased the DLC. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I think you have to be in a group where the leader has bought the dlc for you to be able to use it. I should be getting it and won't have a problem letting people piggyback in.

The battle arena apears to just be available in the paid Dlc, so the ones without can only do it by joining a friend who paid.

Easy solution, join a clan. There will most likelt be several people who pay for dlc in pretty much any clan you choose. So join a clan, be friendly and there you go. Or just hope a regular friend pays if you do not or can not do so.

it is paid only dlc but if you have a friend who has it you can join them in it besides that you wont be able to access it

– A unique version of the Raptor, a new 4 player truck of doom
– A unique Castithan version of an outfit
– A Charge Weapons Starter Pack
– Access to New Pursuits
– New Xbox and PS3 Trophies and Achievements

You get this in the DLC for free:
– Access to the new Charge Weapons Class and Castithan Blades
– Access to Sieges, a new Open World Game Mode
– Access to the new Monolith Major Arkfall
– Access to a new PvP Map – Military Academy
– Join a friend into the Battle Arenas Game Mode
– Duel your friends and neighbors in the Duels Game Mode

for me, it doesn't indicate that this friend or neighbor has to purchase the dlc. it only states that those who purchase the dlc have access to castithan battle arenas.

still not clear to me. if it's true what a few of you claim, that you do in fact have to join someone who bough the dlc, i don't think it's such a great idea. but then again, we don't even know how those arenas work. will it be 1vs1 or 2vs2 or whatever?
