So he can say his opinion on how difficult the boss is but we cant counter it saying Nim was easy? Double standard?
@OP - Nim is basically a genre shift fight. Instead of avoiding massive numbers of enemies you can whittle down slowly you have be prepared for one enemy that can do the damage/ use the tactics of 10.
Get used to rolling, a BMG will help especially in the 2nd phase where you fight decoys, only the real one launches fireballs at you. Try to get the center perks, especially regeneration. Cloak, BMG and a Rhino Shield can keep you alive during troublesome spots easily.
BUT: The most important thing is to learn his patterns. We can tell you in excruciating detail how he moves but you wont understand unless you look for yourself.

Woah, there have been harder fights, in many games before. IMO some of the dark matter fights are harder...
That being said, everyone is different, so you shouldint get flamed for asking advice.
I didn't read all the posts, but what equipment are you using?
I STRONGLY suggest a shield with the lowest recharge time (anything over 3 sec is not worth, unless its over 2k capacity). that way you only need 2 sec of cover to recharge your shields (health regen is nice too)
Make sure to kill his decoys as fast as possible. It gets rid of additional targets, and hurts his total HP. DO NOT STOP backing up/side stepping during the fight, unless you are hiding for cover. Don't use anything down the sights (unless he is really far) and just keep hip firing and backing up (an auto shotgun works well)
No he isn't, it seems a significant percentage of players have completed him, which would not be the case if he was so difficult.
Well I have no idea whether I am average or not, but I know I am not wonderful, as at 36 my reflexes are past their prime, I've barely played any shooters (other than very occasionally playing TF2, the last one I played was Medal of Honour : Allied Assault, which was 2002!) so is not like I have years of practice, yet I completed Nim on my second attempt, if I can do it, then I think any average player should be able to do it.
Frankly I think the problem is many games have got easier and this has created a generation of gamers who don't really realize how easy many games are these days (especially when it comes to PvE in MMOs), but anyway the best tip for completeing it is bind your dodge key to your mouse.
Use a FRC Saw with Overcharge and a BMG to heal yourself. That is what I did. By the way he is hard.
