Why do most of you console players not have a keyboard? It baffles me.

Doing well enought text chat and so far all of my messages gone through without any issue. So, judging only from my own experience, my chat works. But it's cool that you so sure know that my chat's broken.

Again, your not trying to type enough in game if you haven't seen it. It happens to me at least 4 times a night. Hey maybe your one of the only one that isn't effected. Give yourself a pat on the back.

This is a real problem, if your not experiencing it then don't dispute or downplay the claims of others when there are more people having trouble with the text chat than not.

You shouldn't bother, if you have no sense of perspective or empathy, then don't post in threads like this. Problem solved.

Besides has anyone actually used text chat on this? If you so as happen to greet everyone at the vendors a few turn around and start shooting at you for no reason. I stick to friends or people I've met in co-op maps, everyone else isn't worth the effort.

lol most people only have the mouse and keyboard that came with the pc they bought and it probably has a PS2 connector not a USB connector and they just dont understand the difference (most console users are ignorant to things that are common knowledge to PC users) ... most people just cant be bothered to go out and spend another $15-$300 (depending on how nice they are) on a keyboard for a game that allows voice chat... i know i use a keyboard on PS3 and most the time my messages are completely ignored because people just dont see it come up in chat because it disappears so fast...

Sorry man, but every outreach I do with text chat is met with negative results.. or nothing at all. Half the time i'm convinced nobody see's what I type.

I started using a keyboard for chat on PS3 when DCUO came out. I had an old school keyboard that wasn't being used so I just went out and spent $10 or so on a USB adapter for it. However, I have a 1 year old daughter that likes to push the keys so it usually gets unplugged when she's around. Made selling my synergy mods a bit tougher this morning. Also, clan chat is super buggy on PS3. This morning clan text chat wasn't working at all, but I can hear my clan mates on voice chat all day long. Hopefully this will get a little better with the DLC.

Because I don't have a decent place to put one? I play on a console because I don't like mouse and keyboard controls. Why would I plug a keyboard into my Xbox? I have a headset for my communication needs.

Why plug in a keyboard again? So I can talk to a random and have my message disappear in 1 min? So I can sell my oranges and spam chat for an hour until someone buys? Chatting in this game is useless... Not only don't they not have macros to easily press a button and chat "Thanks"/"No Problem"/"Selling Oranges" but the emotes are ******ed... I wanna say to someone good job and I press cheer and my character says "We should really hang out some time!", how is that a cheer? How about a No/Yes/Thank You/Here emote?

Trion needs to implement a better system of user interactions... For example a group leader should have the ability to set up rally points, way points, targeting specific enemies, etc and this should obviously go along with better emotes/call outs and is too much to ask for an actual dance?

This is an MMO, yet you don't have a keyboard? You should have one regardless, but of all games you're not even going to go get one for this game? I don't understand most of you. Now, since we're on a forum (people on forums are more involved in general), I imagine a higher % of you have keyboards, but in my experience, vast majority do not.

This game could be so much better if every single player had and used a keyboard.

And please don't tell me you have a mic and that's all you need. I have a mic too, and rarely use it due to multiple reasons. I shouldn't have to explain how a keyboard is superior for most things in this game.
