Turn off blood?

Cartoons are generally pretty violent, but minus the gore. Picture episodes of Road Runner and Wiley E Coyote. Now imagine them adding fountains of blood every time one of them runs into a wall, or falls off a cliff, is blown up by a bomb, run over by a car, take a shotgun blast to Coyote's head, etc. That's a totally different show you probably don't want your kid watching.

That would be a pretty sweet cartoon though.....

Hehe. I don't mind it too much, I just don't want my young'n seeing it while I play. This is an MMO, after all, and will attract the MMO crowd, which tend to be 30+ with families.

wow this is some american thinking here, the game is full of violence but some how the fake animated blood might be too much, and dont forget sware words oh my , hey i have an idea, why dont you be a proper real life grown and dont let your kid see it then ?

its nut up to the game developers to worry about what you let or dont let your kid see.

Sorry, but a no blood option is probably one of the more ridiculous requests people make coupled by the equally ridiculous excuse of not wanting children to see it. Because, you know, blood is terrifying and children NEVER see it in real life. Honey and Starburst candy comes out when they scrape their knees playing. And, obviously, seeing mommy and daddy fire and assault rifle means they're actually throwing hugs, kisses, and fuzzy kittens at the big bad monsters.

Do people even listen to themselves before making stupid requests?

I don't want to be horrible about this, so I won't be, but I can't help but say how tired I get these days of parents who want accommodation to always be made for their children. When it is rated M for Mature I mean.... really, let's get real, very young children should not be able to see this game, blood or no blood.

Or better yet just parent and teach them it's not real and what's right/wrong.

If blood is a problem to see in an M Rated MMO / Shooter, I would suggest trying this out instead.

Easy fix:

Don't have your kid around while you're blowing people's heads off, and murdering people right and left.


I don't know, even without blood this is not a game I would want any of my nieces or nephews seeing me play.

What does it matter to you if some chap wants the option to toggle off blood? Does it affect you? No, it doesn't.


I'm all for the option of turning off blood, if it gets more people to buy and play the game then why not?
