i have experienced 10-15 so far and mine havent been large ark falls; its been 3 times at the start menu once while creating a new char and all the other times just walking around! my other games freeze time to time as well but that is generally because i have been playing on my xbox for more then 8 hours. I played gears of war 3 last friday for 4 hours straight and it didnt freeze once. with this defiance beta i am lucky to play an hour that is if the game loads 100% of the way.

multiple times i turn on the game only to have my head missing, my entire body black and when i call my quad it is invisible!

It's almost as if i didnt get the full download? so i downloaded it again and still the same thing? I watched it though and it went from 80% to 100% in like 2 sec, is that normal?

The current beta build may cause issues on first gen Xbox's in regards to crashing. It should not harm your system. The final build of the system should and will run better on your system.

phew i almost went and dropped 300 bucks on a new xbox!

What is the difference between the slim and old ones that would cause the problem?

I am playing on a slim and have frozen 5 times today. Is it possible that it is a server problem?

I have a slim and have had a few minor crashes and had the sytem completely lock up on me once.

After the lag was fixed I got a couple of minor freezes that booted me back to the title screen.

I've had a few freezes(only one forced me to manually turn off the system) today, though it's mostly been during arkfall events. The frame rate becomes a slideshow and the game either crashes or comes near crashing and dumping me into the title screen again. Arkfall events can get pretty memory intensive with all the enemies spawning and all the bullets flying all over the screen, so it's probably trying to use more RAM than the 360 has.

I have a first gen 360 and have experienced 3 freezes so far on the beta; all of them have occured during the final stages of a large arkfall event.

i have a first gen and i always freeze during the major arkfall too

what do you guys mean "first gen xbox"??? are you talking about the ones before the slims???

It is a huge relief to know that 1. I'm not the only one and 2. this will be fixed in the final version.

My fiance had a freeze on a first gen and I had two on my slim. One in the middle of a competitive match. Another while going to a quest.
