The beauty of the game is that it is possible a less geared/leveled player will beat a better geared/leveled player. But the fact is with all else been equal, the higher level more geared player is more likely to win. You can claim to have mad skillz, but in the top levels of PVP, everyone has mad skillz and god gears. Inches count there. You will understand when you get there.

You're missing my point. There is no bonus to being a twink in this game. I guess since 'Defiance The Game' isn't my life, I don't get how important these inches are to you. I'm EGO 2616 right now, I only have two achievements left to get, and I have only a few pursuits left to achieve. If you are saying everyone who beats me in PvP is a twink... well, you just made me feel better about my mad skills. =0)

The word twink in gaming context refers to a low level character outfitted with gear/equipment well beyond a character of that level should be able to afford. I think you are just referring to good old fashion min/max power leveling.

In any case, value is relative. I have multi-million scrip saved up at EGO 4400. I value a godly weapon more than scrip. What else can I spend scrip on?

You win the argument dude. You can take games like this more seriously than you enjoy playing them if you want. Or maybe you just saved enough money to do what you want with it, and this thread just gave the developers an idea that a more solid need to drop bigger cash sinks exists. Cheers for cementing them that idea.

All I'm saying, is I play the game to have fun, and I usually come out on top in competitions. Not always on top, but usually close enough. I play online to have fun, more like a Leeroy Jenkins than his addicted WoW buddies. But I do good, I win enough, and I have fun. If legendaries to you cats are worth 1m, then you can have them, and I'll take a step back from caring, and keep what I get and enjoy it. Each to their own. I just wanna have fun, not tweak like a madman till my items are way better than anyone elses weapons just to win. I'll tweak a little bit, but I have a real life too, and saving millions up to barter for ultra rare items just doesn't seem like a good time to me.

How peoples even have 500k SC in firstplace? besides trading i really dont see how it is possible to get those kind of sums just from farming, sure if you vendor all items you could rackup some SC but vendoring anything below purple quality is waste of salvage(keycodes > SC).

Mag and out-of-combat bonus is nice, synegry, melee and revive bonus kinda ruins it tho. Also i personally prefer VOT bolter over any other bolters.

Not to mention the higher ego weapons usually go for less than a lower ego weapon
