Question about the DLC

So as most (if not all) of us know, the developers at Trion posted features we would be receiving in the DLC (http://community.defiance.com/en/201...alk-potential/)

You might notice that we'll get new storyline missions which is great and all but... Are they going to take place on the same two pieces of land we have been playing on this whole time or are we finally going to be able to expand into new horizons? It'd suck if we were stuck in the same play area forever. Just sayin'.

Well theyre supposed to open up new areas which will be available to everyone. But the things you find in said areas can only be used by DLC owners.

To my understanding, if you have a friend who has the DLC, you can join him and take part in the story missions that he/she has access to. Please confirm if this is true or not, but I believe that's what was said on it. So you CAN have access, just takes a little organizing if this is the case.
