It sounds to me that the problem here is that you don't want to do this. The game is a shooter first and foremost. You aren't going to get much variety in gameplay and the progression is going to be relatively flat to allow for PvP. If you like shooter gameplay then that's enough to keep you busy.

Your only really justified complaints are the dumb AI and arkfall rewards being too easy to come by.

Basically, you don't like the game. Move on to something more micromanagy. EVE is that way--->
The game has great gunplay... and that is the only good shooter aspect about the game. The PvP has 3 maps (Shadow War unincluded) and there is little weapon balance. On top of that, it is incredibly dry. I play the PvP and do consistently well, but I still find myself getting bored with it. There are far better shooters AND far better MMOs. This is just a very mediocre attempted fusion of the two. It has a lot of work to go to make it great. More polish, more weapon variety, weapon balance in PvP (hopefully PvE gets left alone for you PvE players), better clan system, more content in general. Since I can't see any of those things in the near future, we will be playing Defiance in its current state for a while.

My issues with the game aside, I have invested way too much time into the game. I am 3755 EGO. Oh dear lord.

I think people want everything in their hands right then and there for next to nothing. Such is the way modern gaming is.

The modern gamer is way too spoiled. Look at World of Warcraft. That game has pretty much the same handful of quests. Fetch x mount of this or kill x amount of that. And it took them what? 10 years to get their content?

This game is still new. I swear some of you act like you are FORCED to play this game. It doesn't even have a subscription fee.

If it can hold more than 50 players on one map then it's technically an MMO but you have played this game so you will know like that it has shown me more than 50 players at Arkfalls and collectively all over the map when you are online. If your not that happy and feel cheated then speak to the store you bought it from and try get a re-fund but I still think your focusing on issues that are not that important.

I'm aware of that, it was an ironic and sarcastic response.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

Maybe you just need to learn what an MMO is and realize that MMO =/= MMORPG. There are dozens of types of MMO and all offer varying degrees of content and playstyle, MMORPG just being one kind and despite what you believe, not the only kind - but I guess no one is allowed to call their game an MMO unless it's an MMORPG, because that would just be stupid of them.

especially when most of the features people are demanding - leveling, progression, grinding, classes, etc, are elements of OFFLINE RPGS and not MMOs :P

It may have been sarcastic but your saying they should be renammed because of content then that could be said for absolutely anything. I honestly didn't see the sarcasm :/

Same as all the rest the game has nothing about it that makes it an mmo having more than 16-32 players online is not an mmo.
    Where's the content
    Where's the replay value
    Where's the mmo Social feel
Please tell me what makes the game a mmo in you mind
