Defiance on xbox one

This is probably why there is so minor patches and fixes on the defiance game, they are more then likely sitting on an xbox one release. These guys would of had a dev kit ages ago.

Ethically that just seems so wrong.
Create a game make fans buy it knowing it is sub par in quality only bother making minor fixes because you expect all of your client base to have the money or be willing to purchase a new xbox one and a new game for x amount of pounds or dollars. Meaning that the game we are playing is already defunct and of no worth if we are going by your logic.. I would hope Trion are not like that.

Im wondering when the next gen console come out and if the game ports over to them can we swap an xbox 360 character to a PS4 or will it be xbox to xbox only?

The only reason being the Xbox ones always on internet and dial home to MS to check in requirement is a bit of a put off plus there is DRM built into the Xbox one system it will allow games to be transfered from one account to another and given to friends or traded in but apparantly this is just once only. Where as PS4 will have no requirements for alwasy on internet connection DRM will be the choice of the developer so we will know which developers are blocking second hand sales and lending to friends.

This is really sounding like im a PS fanboi here lol but I will complete the fanboi image by mentioning the specs in particular the memory PS4 has gone with GDDR5 vs Xbox DDR3, playstation went with memory usualy used for graphics cards and xbox with memory usualy used for systems and a ESRAM buffer to compensate. it looks like the Xbox has gone down the entertainment route and the playstation a gaming route. So im changing to the PS4 this round I want to be able to put my disc in play online or offline and be able to trade games and lend them to friends. Being able to switch characters over to any of the next gen consoles would mean I could continue where I left off theres somethings I dont want to have to go through again in defiance lol.

there's no reason that they can't, from a technical standpoint. contractually might be a different issue

Yeah thats what I was thinking, hopefully as it is their game data and its my character they can switch me over all ifs and buts so I will cross my fingers unless im playing defiance of course that would make it too difficult to play! :P

Will performance and graphics be upscaled on the Xbone, or look exactly the same as the 360? Will 360 players be able to play with the Xboners?

Good question on 360 cross play with XB1 and similar on Sony. Plausible, unless there's some issue with updates to XBL/PSN between the consoles.

I wonder how many thousands of people microsoft will be employing to listen to, and take pictures of, the millions of gamers sitting around in their underwear eating cheetos. This should fix the unemployment rate!
