As you said..you are new to the game. BUT the game isn’t new. You are walking into a situation that is already very frustrating to many players. You cannot expect them to assume you are new and don’t know any better. Especially when your EGO repeatedly tells you about the skitterlings. That said people do tend to go overboard and get more upset than they should.

hehe yeah i heard EGO what it said, did not think it had anything to what I was doing,lots of noise, lots of people, all new to me and I was super busy with shooting everything I saw around me. Was my first minutes in the game that I ended up with PvE, I thought i was a great help to kill everything .. something I was NOT!
Not always swearing is right way to convey something to the other players? is my point with this case
Luckily there was a friendly soul who explained to me a little bit about PvE. what to kill and not to kill ....
Had the first player use energy to tell what I did wrong not just use swearing to me,I would surely have corrected my behavior right away ..

and YES;; i have play some more PvE...

If people learn 2 basics. Blue obilisk kill em all. Goldish obilisk DONT kill skitterlings unless you like being called names. MMO. Be considerate of others. Yeah you paid your $ to play but if you can't learn to play in the community then you are deserving of all the names. I would like to see kills for skitterlings during the gold arkfalls to give NO CREDIT for kills. That would do away with the "My pursiut is more important than me messing up your game" bs.

Ahem.. Kill them all and let God sort it out... that works rather well for me. Nice thing about games I can shoot everything and everyone and not feel like I have to say whoops... my bad. =)

I understand. There really is a lot going on at Arkfalls. I agree they didn’t have to be so abusive over it. I hope things go better for you next time.

I’m not trying to be disrespectful but this kind of attitude is contrary to playing an MMO. What’s the point of playing with other people if you don’t care to work together and in fact worked against the common goal? Trolling in the name of independence?

Well the current status of the game is weird IMO. There is a leaderboard to compete to see who can do the most damage in both CoOp maps and also at arkfalls. Yet... they are supposed to be Cooperative. I do not see where the competitive aspect should come into play. That is for PvP. Also, it was silly how they had contracts for about a month. If the contract told you to kill an enemy, only those that damaged it got credit. That definitely made people more competitive. I had to compete with tons of others to kill the enemy first or at least shoot the damned thing once. It was far more difficult to complete contracts together with friends.

I think the intent is friendly competition. For example: My brother and I are avid sport bike riders. We are old enough to know better than to play around in populated areas so we go about 45mins out of town to the back roads. There we let loose a little and get a bit competitive. I’m not trying to show my brother I’m better than he is (I totally am btw) it’s just in fun. Back to the game… I believe the intent is to work together for the common goal with some friendly competition in there to add to the fun. It’s also a great way to let you know if your current setup is working well or not.

The whole contracts thing was rather silly though. I understand the friendly competition, but there was nothing friendly about racing to kill enemies before that other random guy with you did. It was frustrating for one or both parties of individuals.
