Well, its not so great they are cursing, though I have to admit I get pretty upset when people roll in and start killing the skitters also. Yeees, you can kill the crystal without them.. it just takes three times as long.

I hate the ignorance excuse since the entire time you are at the Arkfall you have EGO shouting at you "Look! That Skitterling just bit a hole in the crystal!" over and over and over. I figured it out in 5 seconds flat my first time, and I freely admit I am not the brightest star in the sky.. so whats everyone else's excuse?

There really is no reason to be killing skitterlings at a destroy the crystal Arkfall, except to be selfish and only care about "your kills" .. so yes, it makes alot of people upset.

EGO is shouting in his/her ear to let the little ones by to bite the crystal, but... She's shouting in English. The OP doesn't feel good about his/her English skills.

Played PvE the other day, since I'm new to the game, I do not know what to shoot at, so I killed everything I saw.. both...small to large "bugs" Y that was fun for a time.
But:
I do not mind that people say do not shoot the little "bugs" try to go for the big ones-.
That's the way things are said I react, I do not like being called dumba .. or get lots of F words.. because I shoot small "bugs".
Or is there something I do not understand .. are bad words throwing by other players ..normally in online games?
Finally,, I like the game very well.

be glad it's not CoD, 10 year olds dropping f-bombs and worse for no reason other than to aggravate you. One of the reasons I hate multiplayer unless I'm either with friends or a clan I know well.

I target the little guys and make dam sure to do my best before they get to the crystal.

The point? Why? Because we can play the game how we want and if you want to be a shouty ****** then I too will be the instrument of Karma and be a ****** back.

Well, I'd say it's a team task if it wasn't for the fact that the whole idea is we are all ark hunters and in the story ark hunters are competing against each other. That's why only one person gets credited with the boss kill shot even though everyone gets some xp from it. It's why there is a leaderboard. The only thing that really leads to the idea of it being a team thing is the BMG and revive.

People need to practice more understanding and if they really were working as a team then they wouldn't be calling anyone names over this. Instead they could say "shoot the crystal, not the small bugs" or "the small bugs bite the crystal so stop killing them". Something to actually be helpful to a team member. In all the teambuilding seminars I've taken I've never seen where calling someone a dumba** is a skill to be utilized.

People in general are rude and ignorant on the internet. That is no excuse for them to be rude, but it is out of our control. Either we retaliate at their rude behavior or we ignore it. C'est la vie.

i've played with 0 in-game sound since day one. the only way i figured out about the bites was when i got to an arkfall first and saw a skittering run up and bite it, then i shot the crystal there and it clicked.

basically if you don't have sound on or read ego's irritating message it will take longer to figure out not to shoot the skitters.

It doesn't help that the three tiers of "Ark Hunter" pursuits require you to ultimately rack up 2500 kills at major arkfalls. Even the seasoned pros who know better will routinely kill everything in sight if they are specifically trying to complete those pursuits.

Yep and a heck of a lot of players used cluster grenades and detonators at the crystals. What really helped me for the 2500 kills was a glitched arkfall. I welcomed it since I could then use my SMG and shoot a lot of skitterlings. I didn't get most of my kills that way, but it helped me when I was at 2400+.

Sure, I do know that. I think you've played Dark Souls. Well, in Demon's Souls (I've played both) I'd often invade naked as I called it-no equipment because I was trying to get things and then be killed by the player I invaded. I can't tell you how often people would message me telling me that I sucked as a player after they killed me. I think the clue would have been that I had no weapon and no armor and I wasn't fighting, but they still needed to tell me that. I had many good laughs over that stuff.

It is true that in all games people will verbally attack others and are rude. I've played CoD games and yet even in Uncharted 2 I had someone trash talk me and tell me all about my mother's private parts. The problem is that a lot of great people are often ignored because of the idiots.

Im quite good at helping people. I still go back to the crash site and look for people who want to group up and want help early on.
It just completely sucks that none of my crap weapons they can use at a low EGO rating. I think it really diminishes the help and "co-op" of the game because im all for just giving some stuff to newbs to help out and make them feel good about the players of the game.

However for shtakos and giggles I will shoot a random explosive barrel while a stranger is near it. Doesn't matter who or what they are and if they're part of my group or not. Hell even my consistent friends aren't immune. Ask Grit. But he will also give it back. it keeps my senses sharp

The Commander/Sgt/General barking orders just pushes me more towards that chaotic side. I got 50k kills to achieve and now only a couple hundred off all my ark hunting pursuits. I WILL go for the easy repeated kill.
