Boosts are real time, so when you purchase a boost for 1 Day you get them for 24 hours from the time of purchase, which mean you bought them at 7am EDT Monday then the boost is out on 7am Tuesday. It is not 24 hours of game play time.

I believe there in lies the confusion, but the system has been that way since launch.

Sure. Doesn't mean everyone else does or believes so.

I was merely trying to clear up the issue as it appeared that folks posting in the thread did not understand boosts were real-time not game-time.

    See below...
I'm not sure if it happened to me. I bought all the personal boosts a week or two ago, and they were gone after 24 hours. I expected longer for the price, and to be honest, I don't know what 24:00:00:00 even means. I thought maybe it was days:hours:minutes:seconds., but my boosts definitely didn't last for multiple days.

Seeing as some people actually have thought the boosts lasted for days, it's not unreasonable to explain that the boosts are for 1 day in real time. This might be misunderstood by others who might have played other games where boosts were based upon in game time. I've played others where you were given 4 hours of bonus xp and that was in game time and not real time. But I did realize in this game it's based upon real time.

In a standard timer format, that is referring to twenty four days. I don't know if it was a typo, and assuming they know that's not 24 hrs, I have nothing else.

Contradicting to what I just said about timer formats, that makes no sense. A standard 1 day boost timer would look like: 23:42:07

If you buy a single 24 hour boost, that is what you get, but when multiple 24 hour boosts are purchased such as in a clan, you actually get x number of days of boost - all of those are now gone, as well as the boosts I had purchased last night - the ones I purchased last night should have been there until tonight - not gone this morning!

So say you bought 5 days worth of boosts, so the timer should look something like 118:09:46 Your saying it expired overnight? I would defiantly contact support over this. Usually this only happens with server downtimes, like patches and such.

You missed the part where I said it was about multiple days-what I was showing an example for and didn't properly explain was if someone bought two of the same boost which would then encompass two days. It would show up as 1d and then 23 hours and change after it. Buying one boost would show 23 hours and change that would count down in real time.

That's how it's shown up for me. The only boost that showed days in actual hours was the boost I got for loot for buying the season pass and/or at the beginning of the game.

When you noticed they were absent did you quit the game and re-start it. I've done this and the boosts were back again. I also did this after submitting a support ticket and got the boosts back with time added on.

Sorry if this hasn't worked for you but I don't tend to think I'm special and they just like me better. I know that isn't the case.

That isn't a refund by the way and you'd have to live in a vacuum to not understand that's the problem with downloadable content everywhere. No company will offer refunds for such content so why would anyone be asking for a refund? And downloaded content is always "buyer beware". You agree to terms before you buy so it's likely that you would have no legal case for anything here.

This is actually one of the things I hate about everything going to all digital downloads as well as the idea of licensing content. But again, you should be asking them to restore the boosts and to extend them for those who have not done so.
Seems like you and I are the only one who read terms of service agreements. '

This is just another confusing, unexplained thing in Defiance that we have to deal with, get frustrated and figure out on our own. +1 Trion
