Are clan boosts even working yet? I keep reading threads saying they are not actually functioning...

Sledge said they were. Though my clan leader spoke to a GM and they said they were bugged. So who knows at this point.

    So much conflicting information everywhere.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

How so? It's actually rather straightforward IMO. When I play a game I try to check out all the options so first thing I did was look at the wheel of options and checked out settings-saw support and so on but didn't need them right away. Someone on these forums was telling people to submit support tickets here and I never found that but I've used the in game version and it's worked fairly well.

As far as boosts. I think those are straightforward too. The bugs do need to be fixed, but we also have to become informed customers and keep an eye on our money, not expect companies to do it for us. We buy the boosts-we need to make sure we get what we pay for. We also have to pay attention to all the fine print that exists everywhere in our lives. Trion didn't invent it and every company uses it. Buy xbox live points, redeem PSN cards, get anything downloaded digitally and you just agreed there are no refunds.

You also need to pay attention when companies such as Sony and MS change their TOSs-things you agree to from time to time. Sony is pretty up front about this and releases new statements. MS is less so and often covers their agreements with the idea that terms of service may change without warning and you are agreeing to that. I don't know what Steam does but I'm sure it's similar.

The point here is that downloaded content (at least in the US) cannot normally be returned and refunded. Even physical game discs often can only be exchanged for the same title. If you have a complaint with game devs, that's where you should start-their return policies and the return policies of companies you buy the games from.

Until those things change, there's no reason for game devs to actually listen to fans at all. The fact that some do really shows some character.

Man, the 47th had like twenty bucks worth of boosts disappear about three weeks ago and support pretty much told me to get bent.

Anyways, they still seem to be bugged as I test them periodically with the cheapest one. It usually disappears after about five minutes.

    So yeah, don't buy'em.
