    If you are guarding a point, be it a Capture point, or a choke point(my previous example was the catwalk on freight yard) A player shouldn't be able to stride right on past me without any indication he was there and pump buckshot into my back.

    Just make cloak have a shimmer effect, like if you observe a teammate. Also acceptable would be to make cloak act as if you are shooting and add a red dot to the opponents minimap. Will either of these completely negate cloaks massive advantage over the other ego powers? No. Will they help bring it more in line with them? Kind of.

    1. If you could see a cloak user at all it would be a worthless power. That lens effect on the dark matter snipers is something you are trained to spot as you play.
    2. If you lose a cloak user that attacked you from the front, you both suck cause it means you couldn't get a shot off and they stopped shooting. The time is already painfully long especially as long as infectors exist.

    maybe read it through instead of finding a nice little spot to state your point

    2.) It's usually a sawed off that gets shot at me hence the losing them,
    Because by the time i even react they've already jumped or rolled into COMPLETE nonexistence

    1. You shouldn't be sitting on top of a capture point you are guarding. It's pretty much suicidal to be anywhere but nearby and as out of sight as you can get
    2. I promise you a shimmer effect would make cloak worthless. Totally ****ing worthless. Standing out at all is too much.

    The radar thing I'd be okay with if it was only while shooting. Though I honestly don't see the point, you can see ally dots vanishing anyway.

    This is not Camp of Duty, Halo Jump, or Wack Ops, this is Defiance, not to come up here and give you crap disrespectfully but with all do respect this game is becoming more and more broken because of posts like this, guys who are used to being able to camp or getting easy kills with lame killstreak perks or guys who are used to being able to bunny hop around with uber rocket launchers one shotting all of their opponents thinking they have skill have all of a sudden stepped into a new game which gives you four awesome powers in which to BUILD your character around. Now that these guys cant feel like they have the best "KD" in the world they want to cry foul and look what it has gotten us...nerfed shotguns that have near half the clip, useless mag bonuses on them that barely give an extra shot, and a heavy scattergun and nano fragger that used to be the more powerful pumps but are now completely obsolete to the lesser grades of the same type(scattergun now has better stats in ALL categories compared to heavy which makes no sense you can go check). And now people are wanting Cloaked to be nerfed...smh...this game has the best cloak ability of any game ever created even better than mass effect and this is a proven fact, as well as blur can be used to SPAM melee and run n gun tactics, decoy can send out an exact replica of the player to get the drop on foes and overchage just makes you OVERPOWERD...but isn't that what each of these powers were designed to do?????...Im one of the best pvp players on this game and kill at least 75% of my opponents FACE TO FACE and uncloaked AND I MVP least 90% of death matches and Wars I am in. If you got hit in the cheast with a 12 gauge shottie in real life what do you think would happen as opposed to you getting hit wit a pistol?, if anything the shotguns should be made MORE POWERFUL if we are going to talk fairness and realism here because in a head up shootout unless head$hots are involved than nothing would have a chance against a good buck$hottie face to face....period. As for Cloak it is not perfect nor does it make you invinsible, I dont know about you but I drop cloaked guys like flies because as soon as I see them reveal themselves I on the trail and then they are buried, probably because they are NOT CLOAKED while shooting which makes it childs play to kill them not to mention I love when a cloaked guy decides to reveal himself and start shooting me in the back with my Rear Guard perk letting me know somethings up and then I turn around and lay waste to them LMBO.

    Last but not least we must remember that cloak is the most useless power in terms of well...power, and not to mention if hit too hard while cloaking it screws it up for you making it impossible to recloak forcing you to fight your battles exposed with no ego power unlike the others which work fine no matter what, so if anything cloak is the most UNDERPOWERED skill, because it's supposed to be, that's how stealth works....right???. So with that if anyone has a hard time in pvp all I say to you is this, this is not Call of Duty, this is not Halo, this isn't even battlefield...if you want the game to play more like one of those games...then GO PLAY THOSE GAMES!!! and stop gettin up here on the forums whining to trion because it doesn't play like your favorite game that you THINK you have skill in making them NERF the game for the many more of us who enjoy it!. It seems that only the skill-less players are the only ones whos voices get heard thus making trion nerf the game more because the many who enjoy it are too busy playing and enjoying instead of whining which is why I think trion should take an IN GAME POLL before they make a drastic change in an upcoming patch the same way they did in the beta after you completed a mission so in this way they would hear from EVERYONE who plays and enjoys the game instead of just the whiners on forums thus hearing how the COMMUNITY feels about the game not just a fraction. The only thing that needs to be NERFED are IMMUNIZERS because they are cheap and made for camping cowards who fear personal combat situations and im sure at least MOST of the players agree .

    P.S. @Blade again this is not a personal attack to you nor do I mean any disrespect toward you individually I just felt that this had to be said and I saw this post and the rest is history and please forgive my posting style as I am not a grammer ***** as long as the readers get the point and it is well said lol

    I'm a cloak user. When I'm at a capture point and defending it, I just listen for the footfalls or the tell-tale sound of cloak being enabled in the first place. When I'm at a capture point and attacking it, it's a moot point as I'm usually in a Cerberus. When I get one-shotted in a Death Match, bravo, that's what cloak is best for, but the team mate running behind me or in front of me can usually then get an Avenger kill out of it.

    The most worrying sound I hear as a cloak user is an infector going off, at which point I hope it's a team mate using it, or being hit by a nano effect which makes me instantly more visible, unlike Blur, Decoy or Overcharge which just carry on regardless.

    All player runspeeds are the same outside of blur. Cloak being somewhat visible while running=worthless cloak outside of sniper camping (and guess what, you're exposed by suppression fire the second someone tracks your shot or respawns cause lol killcams). ANY visibility is a massive liability.

    2. Sawed off users are pretty rare in my experience, but if you are having trouble with them, seriously, bio grenades.

    What you all don't seem to realize is that cloak users get killed ALL THE FREAKING TIME while "somewhat visible" during the painful recloak period. And that's not even bringing up when we get DoTed.

    Decoy is a joke for PVP between the fact that it dies very quickly and is an obvious decoy
    because it only runs out for like 10 meters then just stands still

    the teleport is neat but that compared to other power is just a joke...

    From what i see the powers on XBL are as follows

    70% cloak 15% blur and 5% to Overcharge and decoy
    at least from what I'VE observed.

    Do what throw it out and miss because it's a shot in the dark (literally) and if by the grace of the seven mad gods i DO hit them and then have the other 17 cloak users on their team ruin me while the Bio is still charging.

    It's an ok tactic but if you honestly think 24-30 recharge time MAYBE they get hit and die is an effective counter then i don't know what to tell you bro, It's certainly not reliable....

    You've clearly never used a bio grenade. Your enemy's speed becomes utter trash so dodging or escape is more or less impossible AND their damage gets nerfed AND they become kitable (which is a death sentence for shotgunners).

    And it's not a shot in the freaking dark, at worst it's a 50:50 shot since the AoE is so damn large (which still tells you exactly which direction they are circling around you even if you miss which makes them predictably vulnerable...though honestly I rarely miss).

    I had to edit due to my thinking you meant pyro grenades (Sorry I'm really tired)
    but even still that (is it a ten meter radius?) goo circle isn't a very reliable counter (50:50 chance are you serious?) at least not if you ask me...

    My friend uses a spanner trapper and says it works well but i can't find a good one...
