They might announce the winner during Across the Badlands, otherwise yeah, bloody brilliant. So they start a new one without saying anything at all about the other one, bloody brilliant.

Still no winner.

I wanted to add my voice to a couple of the complaints on here.
I'm in the EU so would appreciate if the times could be a little more balanced cross time zones.
Its prime time for you US players but any EU players who do stay up until 4am to compete will be half asleep!
Either seperate times for different regions or perhaps make it midnight for EU which would make it around 4pm in the US if my working out is right? Seems much more reasonable, though you would have to do them on a Sunday or something due to people working... I dunno.
I'm also one of the players who spends a lot of time in game, and watch the show as soon as it's aired.
I don't however have any intention of sitting through a boring hourish show just to glean 1 or 2 bits of information from it.
To be honest I don't think it's reasonable to have to keep checking the forums for updates either, especially when there is an email mailing list!
Just send everyone an email after the Badlands show promoting the changes\contests!
You could even summerise the Badlands content on the forum and just email a link to it so at least you can get straight to the important information, as long as its done plenty of time before any contest starts.
I can't really agree with people calling this 'insulting', though I am against feeling 'forced' into going so far outside the game to get the most from the game.
Sure I don't 'have' to participate but there is still a lack of varied content and contests like this really give people a drive to play.
I think I understand why they have done things this way, there are probably only a small handfull of people who actually watch Badlands and this is a way to try and encourage more people to tune in.
I mean how many did someone say had actually entered the contest? 200?
Probably because the majority weren't aware it existed!
I'm sure the majority of players would love something like this to be involved in but just didn't know about it until it was too late.
I mean who wouldn't want a chance to win a giant plush Hellbug?! Cuz I damn well do! (^ ^)
In game prizes that don't affect gameplay would be amazing too, even if it was only special colour costumes, boosts, titles or something.
I see a lot of free stuff for PC players yet it was my understanding that console players, particularly Xbox, have had more problems so how about doing something nice and generous for us? (^_~)
I agree with darkstar 100% I entered this comp and had no idea when and what to do
First of all, the contest tomorrow is EU time. 2nd of all, the only person with 20 sponsors that didn't obviously dummy email to get them is an Xbox player (Marcelinethevampire, good luck by the way). 3rd of all, there is a blog post about the next Challenge Hour on the Community Blog and I'd wager a tweet or two somewhere as well (though I do agree emails would be good).
And for those of you who are curious, there are 140 Challengers at the moment, with about 5-7 with very many sponsors. Why is it 20 to get the big plushy, Trion? Why can we only sponsor 1 person? You are too strict at this rate it will never be won.
I want that plushy, Trion!!!

Ah thats fair enough about the times then.
I do think email would be a better way to get more people to participate though.
Judging by how many challengers\sponsors you mentioned, out of all the players thats pretty low, and I don't think it's because players already have too much stuff to do in game lol, I'm sure more would like to get involved with these challenges if they only knew about them. (^ ^)
See I didn't even know there was a community blog!
I play the game, watch the show and read my emails like the majority do.
I hate Twitter and have Facebook, but that's not much better for getting information across as it all tends to get lost in the daily spam.
If Trion want to know how best to communicate things in game they should look at Forza 4.
They do put things on Facebook but also notify you through the in game message system, allowing you to jump straight into the challenge from the message and have an in game news feed that provides useful information instead of just 'Hellbug season - start killing'...
Not meaning any kind of rant or attack, I love this game though and its frustrating when it has so much unrealised potential :'(
To get to the Forums you actually have to go through the Community Blog page from the main game site. And there is a link to it at the top of every page of the forums...including this one. But yeah they should plug the hour more places.

Edit: Final count is ~115-118+. Thanks to my clan, C.O.R.E. Legion for all the assistance on this one.
