    Powering up EGO powers!

So instead of nerfing Cloak, what about improving the other ego powers?

    Blur
    • Now instantly refills 50% of your shield
    • If you're more than 40m away from your target damage received is reduced by 20%.

    Overcharge
    • Now adds -0,50 accuracy while active.

    Decoy
    • Now permanently reveals cloaked enemies around the decoy
    • If the decoy hasn't received any damage yet you can activate it a third time and destroy it in order to lower the cooldown by 40%

You just found the recipe to make the cloak-bois throw a hissy-fit.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

The only use I see for cloak? Getting PVP pursuits. In PvE, I find it useless beyond stealthing past turrets to turn them off.

I like cloak and it's not over powered, I also use Turtle Beach and I can hear footsteps so I just to a quick rotation shot if i think someone is there. As for the power itself it does conceal but you can easily be exposed and you still have to wait for a recharge. I find blur to be annoying to kill people using it but I don't see a problem with it.

    Well,
from a PvP players point of view it is.
It's not only that complete invisibility is enormly powerful, but also the restealth, shield recharge and extra damage it offers.

In my opinion a buff to the other ego powers would be more than justified.

Blur itself is already strong and is set to be stronger with the inclusion of melee weapons. It doesn't need a buff.

Decoy and overcharge upgrades are cool.

This still doesn't solve the perfect invisibility cloak gives. As it stands, cloak is the only power you have to go out of your way to counter - in other words, every other power can be countered by skilled play at any point it is active. Cloak, on the other hand, requires a specific weapon or tactic to combat when it is fully active.

    For your suggested ideas:
Blur - its a great emergency and escape button but i think you should focus more on the offensive/melee side of it.

Overcharge - This would turn any gun into a railgun. Which is kinda cool. But it seems unnecessary because it already eliminates recoil. I'd rather see a constant ~20% shield regen while it is active. This way it is a more frontline power to be reckoned with.

Decoy - to much micromanagement. Also, the idea obsoletes a perk; maybe include the buff as part of the perk? Decoy should go on cooldown as soon as it is destroyed. Finally, actively and completely denying a power is a bit of a problem. Instead of a constant denial, let it send out pulses that temporarily uncloak enemies and reveal enemies on radar.

As a cloaker and overcharger, I will say that cloak does not need a nerf. Ways to counteract it:

    1. Use a buddy system and never try to go for the lone wolf approach in pvp. You have a team for a reason. sure, someone's gonna die but the other guy won't.
    2. Think a cloaker's nearby? Spray n pray. Nothing like saying screw your 30% extra damage than taking someone out of cloak.
    3. Use Decoy with Sensor Sweep. Throw it in a corner where it can't easily be shot rather than into the middle of a firefight.
    4. Go tank. Nothing annoys me more than a tank build character I can't oneshot from cloak with a 3.9x crit rifle and damage perks.
    5. Go Blur. If they can't catch you, they can't hurt you.
    6. Use incendiary weapons. The sustained dps disables them from going back into cloak.

Blur is the only ego power that needs a buff i'm my opinion

    Cloak
    1. Invisibility
    2. shield recharge

    Overcharge
    1. increased damage
    2. instant reload
    3. no recoil
    4 faster fire rate

    Decoy
    1. holographic projection
    2 teleportation

    Blur
    1. movement speed boost

I think blur needs an evasion by double tapping the sprint button in the direction you want to go (much like the dark matter monitors)
