It would be fine IF you could tell who was talking and then be able to mute conversations or noise you don't care to hear. Seriously, some guy repeatedly asking for blue shotgun mods during an arkfall is ok but annoying and I don't mean he waited for new people to arrive, he kept repeating it. And that's not the worst and is related to the game. People discussing their sex lives, some discussing how stupid others are that aren't in the military, some discussing the kind of poop they just had, others burping repeatedly, babies crying loudly right into the mic (I mean is the mic in the crib), others that seem to have buried the mic down their dog's throat, this is stuff I can do without. And I don't want to mute everyone. I have friends that are not in my clan and clan members that I do things with. I also like to be available to help other random people that need it or to group up with people and do things. And I even like to trade. I don't mind personal chit chat at all but I would like to be able to mute it selectively.

I think that's there to tell you to hit enter so you can begin typing in the chat window?

...which is, by the way, super useful on the PS3, so thanks for that, Trion. Glad to see you're on top of the whole multi-platform thing.

Oh yeah! I forgot that: Thank you Trion for the "Enter" message!

But still, in my opinion, the chat window (PC) is very tiny, with 3-4 seconds visible text and with lots of "<someone> joined a group", "<someone> is leader of the group", "<someone> is no longer leader of the group"...

So, in my opinion, is "kinda" hard to follow a conversion when this happens (rarely).

PS. I wonder how the RP clans are RPing with this chat system. Using voiced tools? lol

The enter is there for when you have a keyboard attached. I have a PS3 and an xbox.

For the PS3, I've also got the little keyboard that clips onto the controller or for either I use a USB keyboard. You can then type and hit enter. Or there is an option on the left side of the screen to call up a virtual keyboard.

Naw not disturbing but people really do lack internal filters these days especially when playing games. Can't change them. I was once playing another game and decided to use my headset for once when another player who was sick started vomiting with the mic on. I really, really, really don't want to hear it. And in some games there is no individual mute ability-I've stopped mostly using my headset because 99% of all talk in games has nothing to do with the game. In many, it's little kids swearing like truck drivers or people calling others racist names, and farting, vomiting, burping, scream singing, and so on. Or, it's some guy that thinks he's in charge telling everyone what to do and yelling when they don't do it.
