Just to confirm... the xp I'm getting is purely from healing :/ ... BMG damage doesn't count nor LMG, etc ... so looks like I'll be sticking to healing during major arkfalls, until that's fixed or I max it -- but damn, BMG is soooo hard to level![]()
Sledge said, I believe I understood him, that while some people do/may get XP besides BMG healing at an A-fall, it would be a bug and they were looking into it.
Unless you just, kinda, like playing the game and "shooting stuff that aint me" (as someone, who I don't recall, said at one time).

It also doesn't add weapon xp at those mutant truck spawns, I thought they would be a good farm spot, I guess so did they.
Think about it though, as it stands now you have no incentive to push through an Arkfall except for the pursuit and the final reward. A player can just as easily show up for the final event and benefit as much as a player that has been there for 20+ minutes. If Trion lowered the final stage completion experience and gave enemies experience throughout the arkfall, then players would be forced to help throughout the entire event, not just tag the final stage and leave. The weapon experience would just be a bonus in this regard as it really is nothing more than a pointless grind (and yes, all mine are at 20).
This is just another bad choice by Trion similar to region locking the consoles, and making contracts based on tagging (which they thankfully removed). It's bad enough that many arkfalls become glitched and players wasted 20 minutes just trying to get to the final stage, at the very least they should be rewarded for their efforts with experience and weapon leveling. 5 years of development and the most efficient tactic is to tag a boss and leave, genius!
EDIT: @Jokerzwild: Not granting experience at infinite spanws makes sense, although I have seen plenty of players trying to level weapons there. The only thing that counts is kills which are useful for combat pursuits.
I just wish it didn't use up weapons at arkfalls. Getting no exp is fine but the damage is still added to the weapons bar, meaning you get are better off not using brand new weapons at arkfalls and instead using capped ones. If you get no weapon exp, it shouldn't add a damage score onto the weapons you do use
I was trying to use them to level weapons, now that I know they don't I avoid them unless I am bored or one falls on me.
So I don't understand, once you finish game and are past 240 perks, where exactly are you meant to lvl up weapon skills? random emergencies? Don't they realise there is a huge hole here, since pvp & arkfalls don't give you anything.. you can only do coop maps so many times. Speaking of which, does game still try to give you 6k exp after you finished all the perks? another slap... it should give a scrip reward instead of that exp, since once you have all the perks, you get no exp.
If you really need weapon xp that bad...just run co-op missions. Maxed out 4 weapons just by running The Motherlode 4 times.
